Excellent hotel, the staff were so kind and accomodating - very hard working people. We had a room with 2 double beds which was very comfortable. The sliding door to the toilet and shower was quite stiff so needs a bit of force if you're weak like me! The pool was quite small but was nice to have it there. The sauna and steam room is only on at evenings during the week but you can request it to be turned on, however it seemed to just remain at 40°. The steam room was also quite smelly so didn't spend too long in there. Breakfast was great and had a nice selection, staff were amazing in there. The surrounding area was quite confusing and was not well sign posted so just something to bear in mind. Overall it was a really great stay and would come back again👍

The Aloft hotel is very convenient for the Excel centre but it’s a quite average hotel and I was expecting better given that we paid over £600 for a two night stay. The food isn’t great so we ordered via Uber eats both nights. In our room the shampoo dispenser was broken, the air conditioning was broken so the room was very warm and the tv was broken and kept turning itself off every couple of minutes. Breakfast was very average. It was just a little disappointing but it was good for the venue we were going to.

Great hotel at really good value when there’s no event on, was a little disappointed to see the ‘lucky wheel’ being spun for guests checking in as I waited to check out as I’d seen it but not been offered a go - it’s a nice quirky touch. Pool is lovely area is clean and calm.

Felt like it was a bad day on the day we chose to go, we were told on arrival they had no double rooms left as they were at capacity even though a double was booked for my fiancée and I and were given a family room instead and offered free parking (a mere £20) we were informed the room was bigger which was the only difference only to accept and see that they had given us 2 very small double beds which were set on opposite sides of the room. Upon checkout there was literally a queue of complaints waiting to speak to the duty manager. Very unorganised and unprofessional for the standards of “The Marriott”

The location is great for attending events at the Excel Centre, or nearby areas such as Canary Wharf, Greenwich, etc. It is also convenient because it is right off the Prince Regent DLR station. Just be aware that if you need to get to tourist attractions, many of them are at least 40 minutes away via transit.

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the Excel Centre. Very stylish hotel, looks very new, and spotlessly clean, everything functioning well, Big comfortable bed. Fridge in room is nice touch. Staff very friendly and helpful and responsive. Hot buffet Breakfast was good, but limited fruit selection and breads on offer. I didn’t like having to pay a £25 deposit at check in, even though our room was paid in full in advance, refund taking up to 4 days.
