Really lovely stay. Room.was cosy, clean and roomy The bed is comfy. Shower nice and powerful. Hotel only 2 min walk from town. Staff were really friendly and helpful. We had a lovely time and will come back. The only one downside is the noise from other guests and house keeping as the walls are so thin, but it doesnt go on all day and this wouldnt stop us returning. Highly recommend this hotel

I had a one night stay and i am struggling to understand how the experience could be bettered for the price. Super friendly staff, accommodating and welcoming, a great breakfast on offer as well. If I need to stay in the area again, I will not fail to book here

Decent value for money however a few little issues. Walls are thin and you can hear a lot of external noise from neighbouring rooms and upper floors. Bathroom needs modernising. No fridge in the rooms.

Thin walls, squeaky floorboards in corridor, door kept banging as residents went back to/out at all hours. Bed not comfortable. Free parking was a bonus. It’s functional, nothing more.

The hotel is ideal for a visit to Watford, and only 10 minutes walk to the station; however, it should be noted there is minimal parking available onsite and it is not particularly easy to find. The hotel was very busy the weekend we stayed, and possibly because of this, the (buffet) breakfast service was very poor, with the buffet constantly running out of basics such as plates, mugs, juice, and all cooked breakfast items. This left some guests having to wait over half an hour to be able to get the breakfast items they wanted at the same time, with many others choosing to just get what they could and do without other items. An initial complaint to the duty manager resulted in an offer of a free soft drink (having paid £12.50 each, this was turned down); however, the following morning the hotel manager immediately resolved the issue with a refund. Generally the hotel is comfortable, but feels “tired” and would benefit from some renovation work.

Woken up at midnight by a noise (tapping/clicking noise) which on investigation turned out to be water dripping into my bathroom from the above room. I called reception to make them aware. They went to above room to investigate and then came back to my room to advise the bath tub of the above room had overflowed. I expected to be relocated to another room to be told there were no other rooms available and that they would come and clear up the water. I was offered a complimentary breakfast or a drink as compensation. Both of which I turned down. Showering in the morning will be fine especially as my spare towels have been placed on the floor to soak up any further water

First impressions were good , a nice reception area, however the room was very tired, bathroom needs completely updating , and the bed and bedding left a lot to be desired! Saying that it was the cheapest available so wasn’t expecting the ritz but a few little improvements and it would’ve been a fab small hotel

Very dated hotel. Clean by 80’s standards. Room was cold, asked front desk for help, never came. Walls paper thin, floors squeaky. Toilet flushed very softly, couldn’t even clear urine from the bowl. I was awoke by every single passerby, anyone flushing the toilet, or anyone taking a shower. For over $150 a night, zero stars.

The room was on the front of the property leading on to a very busy road, lots of noise! had to have the windows open as it was very warm (No air con available). The carpet was old and very dirty, the bathroom was very dated as well and as for the the shower it was useless as it kept falling of the bracket.

Great staff, decent location, everything was very clean. The bed, linens, and pillows could use a really serious upgrade. Great value for money though.

The reception staff were polite and helpful. However They told me there was a pre authorisation to be made on my card, that's absolutely fine, I travel for work so this is commonly £0 and then they can change if I've damaged anything or used a mini bar. They however took £50 from my account the day I checked out and I have been advised it should be returned in 7-10 days. That is ontop of the room booking and nobody advised me of this. The room was incredibly dated, the king bed was two singles pushed together which is common but very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hotel. Having stayed down the road at the holiday inn many times I would highly recommend paying the little extra, especially as once you factor in the extra £50 they will take it's not work the money.

In the room we had one door that separated us from the other room, there was probably their bathroom there and in the morning we heard everything we can’t sleep , it was very uncomfortable

The location to the local train station a 14 minute walk. Spacious well appointed room. Good bathroom with plenty of power on the shower. Being at the front of the building road noise was apparent. But the real drawback was the mattress. Old soft not fit for purpose. Slept on the floor. Otherwise crippled by the morning. If my stay was any longer I would have to relocate to another hotel.

Can't really fault the place for the price. The room and lounge/reception had up an to date look and seemed to be recently furnished. My room had everything you'd expect. The bed was reasonably comfortable. It didn't have much of a view, just at another building close opposite. Like other reviews suggesting thin walls, I did notice noise travelled well when people talked in the corridor. For me, it was quiet mostly however, and there are multiple signs requesting quiet. I didn't try any food or drink.

The hotel is well located and the team at the front desk and the resturant are very friendly. But this is a very basic amenities hotel, the bed is terrible and even when you ask them to clean your room, they refuse to clean it. We had to change our room. The 1st room felt very old. The new room was better but had very poor views. I would not stay at this hotel again
