The hotel is lovely, the rooms spacious and well furnished just a bit cold and I couldn’t get the air con to warm up the room

Overall lovely hotel, food is delicious and area is nice. Although parking is difficult, bed was lumpy (Previous person groove) shower did not work and not enough tea bags in room

I have given bottom marks for cleanliness, this is why; as pensioners we can very occasionally suffer a 'leak' in bed, so we travel with bed protection which goes under the sheet. At bedtime on the first night, turning down the sheet revealed on the mattress topper the stains of bodily fluids of previous occupant(s); this was reported the next morning and the mattress topper was removed but NOT replaced. That was reported after the second night (and as a gesture of goodwill, the £40 parking charge was credited). Reception counter staff were helpful after both complaints. I am unhappy and marked 0/5 because the HOUSEKEEPING processes are clearly inadequate; chambermaids need to be better trained and fresh mattress toppers have to be available. I'm sure each chambermaid does her best, but I suggest that management have to run a tighter and better hotel. The draught at the front door is awful, leaves blew in constantly and it's very cold sitting anywhere near there. What about building an inner doorway and putting in overheat radial heating?

This is a nice place, not too far from the city center, but also not in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. It has a great rooftop bar.

Had a nice stay, got upgraded due to an unavailability issue and the room was a very nice standard. The breakfast was a bit expensive and just quite average however the evening meal was decent. Staff were generally quote friendly and pleasant

Hotel was struggling to provide key cards on check-in, waited in the queue for 25 min. Before arrival, I requested a feather free room. Unfortunately room that was provided had feathers in duvet and pillows with feathers. Housekeeping arrived to the room to change the duvet, ended up leaving and coming back twice to get it changed. On the last attempt, I gave up and left the room as it still was not correct. Room was not serviced on first day even though I requested it through the housekeeping.

We had a lovely stay. The bed was very comfortable and we found the staff were so accommodating. We had a drink at the rooftop terrace, I was cold and the staff offered me a blanket and turned the heaters on which was lovely! The breakfast was also fantastic! The only things we feel were lacking for a 4 star hotel was the drink choice in the room; it would have been nice to have bottled water and hot chocolate, particularly as the bottled water was free when we asked for some. It would have been nice to have a few biscuits available as well. We also found that the towels smelt very musty - as if they had been left damp. The smell was very obvious!
