The room was clean and had everything you would expect. The iron was not good. The room was poorly lit (no overheard lighting, just lamps). The parking was organised (£20 per day), but finding out if there’s any spaces beforehand is not possible, you have to go in there to check. If there aren’t any spaces, then you’ll have to park in the NPC around the corner (~£40 per day).

Immaculately clean room and bathroom. Excellent view of the Minster and the river. Helpful,friendly staff. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice to appeal to all tastes. Limited parking but we were lucky to secure a space. Conveniently close to York centre. York is beautiful, historical and fascinating.

This hotel has achieved something I didn’t think was possible: they managed to make our perfectly tidy room worse after housekeeping. We left at 8:30am and returned twelve hours later to a room in a genuinely unacceptable state. Housekeeping had: - Removed the rubbish from the bin and then left it on the table - Failed to replace water bottles - Taken the towels we had hung to reuse and replaced one set instead of two - Removed all tea and coffee sachets - And the final insult: someone had used our toilet and not flushed I’ve travelled to 40+ countries and over 120 cities, and no hotel — at any price point — has ever managed this level of incompetence. It’s almost impressive in its own way. The night receptionist’s horrified expression said everything. He did what he could, but none of this should ever have happened in the first place. I’m not someone who casually calls for people to lose their jobs, but in this case the Head of Housekeeping should be dismissed. This was not a mistake; it was a complete failure of basic standards.

Good location, within walking distance of all attractions. Just felt the Hotel was a little tired, lacked extras normally associated with this type of hotel e.g no biscuits in room, minimal selection of tea bags. Didn’t find staff very welcoming on arrival but staff in breakfast room were friendly. Not sure I’d choose again for the price charged.

Rooms were nice and big, I had a fab view across the water. Little dated and could do with a minor revamp, but that’s fine. Staff were nice in the hotel. Breakfast was very nice and good for the price (although dining room was a bit difficult to find) Service was slow in the bar area for evening meal, didn’t feel overly welcoming. Food was nice but they made a mistake with a nut allergy that I declared. This was handled really well by the manager - he was apologetic, handled it with the kitchen staff, and replaced & comped our meal. I was absolutely fine and I’m pleased with how it was managed in the end, but more attention needs to be given in the kitchen to stuff like this. Location was good, easy for us to walk to and from to get to everywhere we wanted to in York.

I paid for a superior room, no noticeable difference between this room and a standard room. Room was relatively clean, however felt that the more you looked around the room, the more unclean it was, for example the bathroom and under the bed. The staff were excellent especially at breakfast who were very courteous and approachable. The breakfast was very good value with a huge selection of offerings. Overall, the Hotel Radisson I thought was in a good location, however is dated especially the exterior.
