The Belmont Hotel

Lovely quiet location overlooking pedestrianised New Walk and very central, close to town and university. Very efficient and helpful staff. Room very comfortable and well appointed and whole building well adapted from original row of 19th century houses. Good onsite parking too. Looking forward to next stay.

Lovely hotel in a peaceful location

Great welcome for my early arrival. Easy to park. Check in was smooth although i wasnt asked if i would like to add breakfast. Room clean and a very welcome fan set up. 20%off food and drink so i stayed at the hotel for dinner. Limited choice but was nice and i ate outside. Following morning i was earlier than anticipated so i had time for breakfast. Unable to use the discount and i couldnt find anything that informed me i couldnt use it so this was annoying. One member of breakfast staff appeared very stressed and was abrupt to me. Later witnessed being rude to two guests who simply queried that the table they were given was just set for one. I will need to be in Leicester bi monthly for the next 3 years and the close proximity to amenities, parking and a walkable distance to the university means i hope to book in regularly

Friendly welcome, with a free room upgrade and complimentary 20% off food and drinks. Pretty bathroom with shower. Sofa. Complimentary water in fridge. Excellent buffet and a la carte breakfast.

Staff welcoming and helpful. Breakfast very nice. Common areas all good and room clean, just the bathroom could have done with a refresh.

Lovely friendly hotle in a great location. Room clean. lovely breakfast. Some ares need a little atttention like window frames. However we do love staying here.

Breakfast was a good range but strong taste of vinegar in the poached eggs on both days we stayed. Staff very nice.

Easy place to find in an ideal central location to access things via foot. The room is large and presented well. Comfy bed and good water pressure. On-site restaurant serves a good variety of food and drinks and the food is of good quality. For an old building it has great character and a lovely place to relax on a trip. Ample parking.

Lovely traditional hotel, booked for proximity to the station. To be fair my review would have been higher if it had not been a heatwave and the lack of air conditioning in the hotel. One fan which unfortunately did not help in 33 degree temperature. It made for a very disturbed night sleep unfortunately. Would book again but not in the summer.

Very satisfied with our one night stay on July 5th. Room clean, spacious, with two fans! Staff were friendly and helpful, Loved the breakfast, lots of choice , Gluten free bread provided. Parking easy, plenty of space out front. 100% positive!

The staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel itself has a nice location overlooking New Walk. Its an older building so there are a few creaky floorboards, not a big deal in itself, but other than that the stay was quiet and restful. No aircon in the room we had, not usually a problem but of course we picked the hotest June week on record... the room was equipped with a fan which helped. Very pleased with the hotel and would definitely stay there again. Car park was busy but we found a spot. Room and hotel in general were very clean.

Stayed in the Space themed room, one of the few rooms with air conditioning though it was a really hot day and it wasn’t especially effective. However, overall the experience was excellent with a wonderful breakfast, excellent complimentary coffee/tea in rooms and quality toiletries in the bathroom. Will happily stay again, though hopefully it won’t be quite as hot next time!

This is a Fabulous independent Hotel.. We return here as it run with such professionalism, yet remains so Friendly and Welcoming.

Fantastic hotel on the outskirts of the city centre. You’re able to take a nice walk into town. We passed the train station on the way into the city centre so easily walkable from there. It’s close to the curve theatre and the parking is included. The breakfast was very good. The staff here were lovely and made this a place I would return to stay at.

We enjoyed a lovely overnight stay here. Spotlessly clean, quiet comfortable room, friendly helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast. Will definitely stay again.
