The food was great and the bar staff were friendly. The room wasn’t clean: shower was dirty and had pink bacteria in the tile grout, there was quite a bit of someone else’s hair underneath the bed, and the bench had grease marks on it.

The room was dusty, and the shower was very sulphuric. My brother stayed on the other side of this hotel and his shower was normal, and he was supplied with shampoo and conditioner . There was no hair conditioner supplied in our bathroom. For $500, it could have been a better experience.

This was an okay stay! We spent three nights here overall both upon arriving in Iceland and Departing. The first two nights we had an atrium view room, for me the bed was too soft and you could hear people loudly through the closed windows down in the atrium early in the morning- even though we were on the fourth floor. The last night we had an outer view room which was much nicer. I would definitely stay again, but ask for an outside view room.

Drove in after 11pm. Was offered an interior room on the 3rd floor overlooking the noisy reception area. Room was stifling hot. Only ventilation is a small 2 inch opening on one of the windows into the noisy atrium. Was told there are no other rooms available. Was given a tiny table fan to help cool the room. Awful room for $260 a night. Do not recommend.

Bathroom had a little black mold in the shower. All 3 soap dispensers were empty and the inside of one of the lampshades was peeling apart. There weren't any usb outlets in the room. They charged for everything, coffee in the lobby, even toothpaste if you didn't have any. Not as nice as we expected

My wife and I had a great time in Iceland, staying at the Hotel Reykjavik Grand. The hotel is a little bit out from the central downtown area, but that was perfect for us, since we had a rental car and the hotel offered free parking on their surface lot. There is a parking garage downstairs, but we weren't sure if it was free for hotel guests, but we had no issues finding spots on the ground level, even when we came back late at night. The rooms were a little dated, but clean, the staff was friendly, the breakfast spread was very comprehensive and good way to start the day. This is a great option for those looking to be close to, but not in too deep in the busy tourist area of downtown Reykjavík.

There is a big construction right beside This hotel, so it is very noisy from 7:30 am. Till 8 pm. Hotel should warn visitors about this as some people is very sensitive to noisy. Breakfast fruit is not fresh and almost US $40. Quite expensive.
