It was truly a five star experience. If you are going to Mumbai, and want to be taken care of by some of the best, friendly, helpful and purely nice people, this is a great resort. A special shoutout to the staff at the 21-club - I received so much advice and helpful suggestions! If you want to have a great time - and live it up - stay at the Taj. Beware of the traffic though, give yourself time to reach your destinations.

Disappointed with my Taj stay this time. The rooms were not cleaned properly and the property seemed like it needed updating overall. The famous Taj hospitality and going above and beyond for guests also has seemed to vanish. Simple housekeeping/ guest services requests couldn’t be met, it was surprising to hear “no” from the staff on several occasions. Check in was a disaster on a busy rainy weekend with no help to carry heavy luggage. Overall a very below average experience which is sad because I am a Taj loyalist but will probably find another hotel to stay at during my next visit to India

The location is what makes this property popular but I have had much better experience at hotels of this stature in terms of staff and service. The lobby is also always too crowded and chaotic. If you are not particular about staying in bandra I would 100% recommend oberoi over this.

Booked this stay for my father's birthday, and the staff was very kind to arrange a birthday cake as well as decorated the room for the occasion! Thanks for a great experience! My mom loved the sea view from the room.

Service and staff were super friendly. My room was not worth what I paid. The sofas and walls had stains. The room smelled like someone smoked in there, so much I woke up w a headache. I was willing to stay an additional night only if they switched me to another room. The lobby said there were no more rooms available while Expedia said there were 5. I decided to not stay any longer and moved to another hotel.

Quite disappointing. Extremely displeased. I had thought a 5* hotel like Taj everything would be like clockwork. But it was poorly handled. The only nice thing was an upgrade to suite level based on my Mom's neuropathic and quadriplegic condition. After this, the butler services had to argue about the same thing every morning for over half hour -two three managers each day it took to get a breakfast delivered to the room for a diabetic critically-ill patient on two days taking ten different tablets, nebs and other service to be performed. It was so very exhausting after two months of hospital/ICU, I thought finally at Taj 5* we'll get some peace and quiet. The housekeeping staff left the door open and could not get a comforter and bedsheets for well over half hour letting my Mom shiver at night. While doing my bed, the housekeeping staff in the morning yesterday got extremely close to her knowing she cannot move. It was so disgusting to watch I had to yell at him to stay back. Then, the waste of time talking the same thing to ten different staff and managers - disturbing us, and creating a lousy experience for us at Taj. The constant knocks and doorbells - one housekeeping staff even attempted to enter the room while we were there. The dinner served that I had paid for was in bowls like katoris and they said only one dish per person (not buffet). Then, the butler service threatened me with security when Mom was having a medical issue. The extra bed was not made.

Having stayed at multiple hotels in Mumbai over the years, this was one of the more underwhelming experiences. Check-in was extremely slow. We were asked to wait in the lounge for our room, but staff were unwelcoming and often absent. No one updated us when the room was ready, and after waiting well past the expected time, we had to track someone down — only to feel like we were inconveniencing him. Thankfully, another staff member eventually helped, but it still took another 30 minutes before we got to our room. The room itself was spacious and well-designed — definitely the highlight of the stay. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended. The snacks and drinks in the lounge were far below the standard I’ve experienced at other hotels. I wouldn’t pay to upgrade again. The Wi-Fi was another major issue. Even the paid premium internet constantly cut out, making business calls frustrating and nearly impossible. While a few staff members were professional, most lacked the attentiveness and polish you’d expect from a property in this category. Compared to the warm, seamless service at The Oberoi or The St. Regis, this fell far short. I wouldn’t return.
