Best Hotels in Painan, South Pesisir Regency

We arrived at the hotel quite late around 10pm. Because the hot water did not run, we immediately went to bed. In the morning, when we open the window we saw the most beautiful view of hills and road. Amazingly, we didnot hear sounds of engine at all. The breakfast, which was served to the room, was amazing. A simple fried rice complete with crackers (you can tell they're fresh) and tomato&salad. The hot water apparently only run in the morning, but it was enough to take a long shower. Afterwards, we walked around and was ambushed with lovely view of Indian ocean. We can hear the waves hit the beach. Hopefully we can return to this hotel again.

The guest house is very clean. The room facilities include dental kit that is rarely provided by a guest house. The breakfast is nasi goreng in good portion. The owner is very friendly. The location is within walking distance from Carocok beach and it is in a quite neighborhood. Very well recommenced for budget traveller.

Ants on my bed in the middle of the night. Breakfast served upon request, because of low occupancy. The hotel needs to really care about their maintenance. As long as the room is clean and not smelly, old hotel can be pleasant. Just saying.

I think, it’s a great homestay If you want to explore painan, because this homestay have complete facilities.

While personnel was very helpful and the room clean, the environment was extremely noisy to the extend I had difficulties getting to sleep. I arrived around 10 pm and had to get up again at 3.45 pm for a run the next day. First the noise of motorcycles and cars passing by on the road in front was extremely loud. Then there were scratching noises coming from the rooms next door or possibly out of the woodwork. This went on until at least 2 am. I ended up getting 2-3 hours of interrupted sleep.
