The villa so nice and clean. Great customer service. As I’m having my first trip to montigo on a honeymoon trip. Staff was so sweet with their surprise with songs and cake. Unexpected stay. We also have our candlelight dinner by the pool of our villa. Food was super delicious. Will return again soon.

Absolutely love this resort. I’m definitely coming back. Special mention to Andry. His service has wowed me. His dedication to providing good experience during our entire stay was impeccable. It was a unanimous agreement from everyone in the family that he made a difference to our stay in Batam. The property may be a bit aged but they are making efforts to upgrade the property progressively. The spa was world class. I am a seasoned traveler and the spa here was one of the top. This was my kids’ first time and I have to say I have spoiled them starting them with one of the best spa experience. Simply beautiful. A very memorable trip for my family. Nice room sea view facing, but quite basic with amenities for this much spoken of resort. Complimentary mini bar was just 2 cans of soft drinks. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. Dinner at the Japanese restaurant Hinotori was very good!

Great location, super relaxing.
Staff are simply amazing - they cannot do enough for you.
Breakfast and other dining options very good too.
My mum has limited mobility and the staff were super considerate, provided a villa without steps and made sure a buggy was available when ver we needed it.
Will definitely return!

It is a beautiful resort and has plenty activities within.
We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed ourselves.
The food was awesome.
The villa rooms (with the private pool) are so cosy and chilled out.
Everything from checkin to checkout was simply perfect.
Liked the politeness of the staff, always willing to help (god bless them all, for staying motivated as they are) !!

Pros:
- Free transport (shuttle bus/van) from the resort to Nongsa Pura ferry terminal and vice versa - can book the transport via email/WhatsApp prior to arrival/departure
- Large villa with 3 en-suite bedrooms, living room (with dining table and refrigerator), outdoor barbeque area and private pool (with cabana (not sheltered))
- Comfortable beds and pillows in the bedrooms
- Good water pressure in the bathrooms
- Water dispenser included in the living room
- Good variety of activities available in the resort
- Decent food choices at the buffet breakfast venue
Cons:
- Very poorly maintained villa. Cleanliness standard was probably equivalent to that of a 2-star resort - all three toilets in the 3-bedroom villa had a strong sewage smell, master bedroom and pool area had two cockroaches, pool water was dirty
- Air-conditioner was leaking in one of the bedrooms and could not be fixed by the technicians
- Lots of mosquitos in the villa complex
- Slow service - booked a barbeque in the villa (for DIY cooking) and the food was only delivered about 1 hour after the initial booking time
- Kitchenette area only has a sink and utensils, and does not include a stove
- Beach club in the resort is under renovation
- Resort is located at a more secluded area in Batam and it takes about 35-45 minutes to get to the Batam city centre via taxi/private hire cars

The staff are incredibly accommodating and it is an easy trip from Singapore via ferry. Parts of the property were nice but the main pool and beach area were under construction. I’d say the photos might be a bit outdated or we just happened to come before the property was spruced up for high season. Overall it could use some love. Private pool was a huge asset, as was included breakfast.

My family of 5 recently stayed at Montigo resort and though we only had a short 2D1N stay, we had the most amazing time.
The villa was spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed all the facilities within the villa and around the property.
But what sets the experience apart from other vacations we’ve had was the service. Every single staff member at Montigo we encountered was warm and helpful, attentive to our requests and going out of their way to make sure that we had an enjoyable stay.
In particular, staff members Felli and Andry helped us a lot during our stay and treated us with so much care that prompted my son to ask me if we’re VIPs. 😊
We definitely look forward to returning soon and once again like to say a huge thank you for the fantastic experience!!

This was our family’s first trip to Indonesia and we chose Batam. It was very convenient to get to from Singapore so we could jump right into our vacation. Ferry pick up from Montigo was nice. Check in at the lobby was very pleasant - nice welcome drink and the staff were so helpful and attentive. We stayed 2 nights and had all meals on property. Breakfast and dinner buffet were great. Lunch at Tiigo pool bar both days. We were surprised how empty the pool and beach were despite so many people at breakfast. No complaints - we basically had the whole pool area to ourselves!! All of the staff were great. Buggy transport was so helpful. Rooms were clean and spacious. Loved the sweeping views, master bathroom, and private pool
