The hotel's atmosphere is cool, the garden is spacious, and the breakfast is delicious and varied. The standard rooms could be renovated to make them even nicer.

I've loved staying here with my extended family since I was little. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the facilities were starting to deteriorate. For example, the telephone no longer worked, and the swimming pool no longer had warm water for morning or evening swims. There was also no hot water in the sinks. Otherwise, everything is still the same as before. Hopefully, improvements can be made and things will be even better in the future. Thank you...

The cottage we booked was appalling. The walls were filthy, and the bathroom was heavily moldy, foul-smelling, and dirty. When we complained that it was impossible to sleep there, the only option offered was an upgrade—at an additional cost to us—even though we pointed out that the situation wasn't our fault. The "upgrade" room was more or less acceptable (though not for the price), but the bathroom there was moldy as well. The entire hotel gave the impression of being run-down and dirty the moment you stepped out of the lobby. Attached are photos of just some areas of the bathroom in the "upgrade" room.

Nice place and nice view... nice hospitality

We recently completed a 2-night stay at Sinabung Hills and overall had a very peaceful and enjoyable experience. If you love a naturalistic, quiet getaway, this resort is definitely worth considering. The resort grounds are very large, and the overall ambience is great. The check-in process was smooth and seamless, and we found the parking to be very easy. Our room itself was in good condition and offered a lovely view of the swimming pool and the mountains. A major highlight of this property is that if you step out near the lobby side, you get a beautiful, direct view of Mount Sinabung. In terms of location, you do need to drive your way up or catch local transport like a tuk-tuk to get there, but it is very convenient once you arrive. The resort is within easy walking distance to several local warungs and food stalls where you can find cheap and delicious food. We really enjoyed this aspect of our stay. There are just a couple of areas where the resort could improve. The toilets could use an upgrade, particularly because we faced an issue where the shower water was quite cold at times. Additionally, the breakfast was just okay. We stayed for two nights and noticed that the menu spread was almost identical on both days, so we wish there was a bit more variety. Despite the minor hot water issue and the basic breakfast, it was a highly relaxing and peaceful stay, and we truly enjoyed our time here.

A high-star hotel in Berastagi. Most guests come for the volcano nearby. Everything is good, but they can do better for preparing breakfast boxes, due to many guests starting for hiking at 4 AM. So, better with food that doesn't need to be kept hot.

The place is nice, comfortable, good service.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with the check-in process. I'll definitely be back again sometime. 🥰

Upon entering, the bathroom lights were out (two units). After a complaint, they were replaced with new ones, but they left dirty stains from the technician's shoes in the shower stall. When the electric kettle was used to make hot water, it turned out to be filled with used paper and food scraps. After a strong complaint, the unit was replaced with a clean one.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Check-in was easy. Access to several locations was easy. Security was friendly. The rooms were cleaned daily.

The ceramic tiles at the bottom of the swimming pool are damaged, injuring your feet.

The water faucet was broken, and the exhaust fan was very dirty. Breakfast was not allowed, even though I had asked the staff before check-in and they said it was allowed, but the restaurant staff refused, and hot water was limited.

The hotel atmosphere is nice and neat, the hotel is old but well maintained.

Kids' favorite hotel for a staycation.

The staff was very responsive and friendly, and immediately responded to our needs. The only thing we could do is add more activities for children, as the backyard is quite spacious, which I believe could be a selling point for the hotel.

The hotel staff at the reception were very good, helpful, and provided room options.

The price is quite expensive but it is worth it for everything, breakfast, cleanliness, and friendliness.

Comfortable and recommended for staying with family.
