Hotel Imperial las Perlas

Our stay at Hotel Imperial Las Perlas was much better than I expected after reading some online reviews. This is definitely not a luxury resort, but if you’re looking for an affordable hotel with friendly staff, good food, and a convenient location, it offers excellent value for the price. The hotel is showing its age, and the buildings could definitely use some renovations and a general cleanup. The rooms are basic—I would rate them around 2 out of 5. The furniture and amenities are old, and although the towels were clean, they have clearly been used for many years. Still, everything worked, and for the price we paid, the room was perfectly acceptable. The air conditioning was excellent and made a huge difference in Cancun’s hot, humid weather. One funny thing we noticed was that nothing ever seemed to dry because of the humidity! We only saw one cockroach outside during our stay. Since this is a tropical destination, it didn’t surprise us too much, and it certainly didn’t ruin our vacation. The hotel itself doesn’t have much of a beach, but a beautiful public beach is only a one-minute walk away. The sand is soft, white, and surprisingly comfortable—it doesn’t burn your feet, and it isn’t dusty, so your feet stay clean after walking on it. The water was warm, and we even spotted stingrays, tropical fish, and a few jellyfish. There was quite a bit of seaweed, but we still enjoyed spending time there. Staff was rude. Prices were highly inflated, besides a pool nothing else to do on resort. Photos online must be when the resort was new. The ocean area due to the boats is unable to be swam in. Water leeks in the room. Cockroch in my room. Limited restaurant hours. Would not recommend.

A lot noise for sleep is simple hotel and food

Outdated, beds hard as concrete, mold in bathroom, and food was terrible. Next to 0 beach. Pictures are well staged and very miss leading. Breaker box was missing breakers. Bathroom was missing mirror.

If you want to go to Cancun, be somewhere that is design and put together for Mexican tourism feel part of the Mexican resort culture, be surrounded by the wonderfulness of its people and experience a little bit more of the culture you may enjoy the Imperial. do not come here if you’re expecting a four or five star American Cancun resort experience. You don’t go to McDonald’s and pay a value menu price expecting to get the best ribeye steak you ever had. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was a great new experience. The location is perfect. If you enjoy getting out and exploring the area around you, you can jump on a bus for 12 pesos and it’ll take you just about anywhere you want to go in Cancun. You’re within 15 min walking distance of the ferry that will take you over to Isla Mujeres . You’re also within walking distance of Las Perlas Mall and youre 200 yards from the public beach. If you’re interested in taking catamaran party tours, snorkeling, or diving the marina that all the other hotels come to is right on your own little marina style beach. The buffets are more of a snack buffet than what you would expect ( nothing fancy at all) Everything here is on a small scale. If you dont speak Spanish just know this is a very much Spanish speaking hotel, you may be the only one speaking english so it can be abit challenging but thats what makes it adventurous sometimes.

Well honestly at first didnt like but then i got use to it and it became a really good time because I met new people that were really nice and helpful and also it was really fun but beside the beach front everything was really nice the view in the morning was beautiful and the movies they played was spot on but yea I would actually go back to this holet like I’m literally waiting for rates

Some of the staff are friendly, and the ocean view from the room is truly beautiful. However, the beach is dirty, the quality of the food is very poor, and the building is old. The stairways are narrow and feel unsafe, and there is no elevator. If you are looking for a relaxing stay at an all-inclusive resort, I honestly would not recommend this place.

Room was not really nice and bathroom either really old and not well maintained.

I got sick from breakfast. The room smelled like a musty old basement. The he air conditioner was as loud as a truck with no muffler. I hated this place. It doesn’t deserve any stars.

The hotel staff were excellent. They let us store our luggage while we flew to Mexico City for a couple of days, even though we weren’t checking in yet. There’s a small beach area, and if you’re looking for a quiet spot, it’s actually not a bad option. There aren’t any restaurants nearby, and the hotel’s buffet is just okay.

We had a great time at this hotel. The staff was amazing!!

The breakfast was the best, the beach not so much. The dinner sucks not only because was the same. Was bad cooking.
