Clean room & bathroom. Small area for buffet breakfast (cooked & continental which we didnt avail of. It was only serving 7.30am to 9.30am and checkout at 10am. We were there for a concert at Murrayfield and it was okay for the one night needed. I paid £230 for a very basic double room. A bit overpriced for a dated hotel. But it served its purpose. Absolutely minging hotel.
We paid extra £10 for early check in, but queue for reception was so long, we didn’t get to our room early.
Passage ways were minging.
Hotel room was vile… bed sooo uncomfortable and pillows were like sleeping on bags of rocks… don’t get me started at the state of the rusty shower!!
I’ll be making a complaint!!

Old outdated room, no air con, very low ceilings, bed was rock solid. Portable fan which was so loud you couldn't leave it on overnight. Extortionate price of £350 for one night

The room was clean enough but couple of short, curly hairs in the sink and round the bath. Furniture was very old and thrown together. Quite noisy as the doors are very heavy so cause lots of load banging in the night/early morning

Flea in the bed got bitten curtains didn’t close told staff she shrugged and said sorry!
Breakfast was terrible I asked for fresh eggs the man was not nice and said they are what they are they are all the same cooked in the oven so no fresh eggs the sausages where under cooked and swimming in grease staff not interested !! Paid £240 to stay in a nice hotel !!

Room cleanliness needs work, a bit of a hoover and dusting around ends would be great. Shower curtain was mouldy at the bottoms so that was a bit gag inducing. Shower itself pressure okay.
Room was noisy at nights as could hear the plumbing for everyone's shower. Constant sounds.
2 single beds, nice, clean sheets, comfy pillows.
All in all okay for price and distance into Edinburgh was good. Within walking distance to Dean village if you have that on your check list.
