ibis Edinburgh Centre Royal Mile - Hunter Square

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Ibis Hunter Square, and both times have been wonderful. It’s well located and had a friendly staff. The breakfast is not included, but the cost of it is certainly better than you’re going to pay at virtually any restaurant in the area. It’s not the most elaborate breakfast, but certainly works. We also loved their plan of giving you a 5 pound credit if you don’t have your room made up. We used the credits for breakfast and some ice cream at the bar.

The hotel was ok but could be better. Very small space in the rooms. The air/ heat controls in the room did not work. The expectation may have been to open the window. Not a good option due to street noise. No air movement and it was stuffy. The bathroom door was out of alignment and hard to close.

The hotel room & bathroom were very small ! Very well located, close to the Royal mile and the train stations.

Hard to maneuver suitcases in and out of Hotel but a pleasant stay with a great location just off Royal Mile. Enjoyed a good breakfast.

Was amazing, only a couple of little things that i could say were slightly negative. 1st one is the heating, got a little cold in the room and because of the heating setting had to get a portable heater from reception. 2nd one is the tv, as a recommendation i would have more choice of channels to watch. Staff were all absolutely lovely and nothing was a trouble to them.

The parking is more than a 15 minute walk down hill to a parking garage. The breakfast was over crowded with many options not available.

Property was convenient to restaurants and shopping. Should have read amenities better in this day and age how do you not have a fridge in your room 6 days and no way to keep anything cold.

I will say that location wise it was excellent. It was about 300 feer walk from the Royal Mile. Tram from airport was great as a station was about 10 minute walk as was Waverly train station. So many tourist spots nearby but you do need.to be able to walk. Only problem with room was almost no area for putting clothes. No drawers just a table and pullout bed top. There was an area for hanging a few things up. Bed was very comfortable after long days of activities. Security seemed a top proiority for entering property which was great. Other than room storage we recommend this hotel.

Everyone and everything were great. Only suggestion would be if you were to book it is to ask for a room not overlooking the back alley: lots of late night noise and partying.

Easy location, nice rooms, helpful staff and free snacks

The only negative was check-in. There were many guests to check-in, and only a couple staff members to handle the crowd. This is a huge hotel with approximately 10 check-in lanes. Not sure why they were not in use.?

Really enjoyed my time here! The location is perfect and central to everything. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Booking in straightforward and efficient. Hotel good enough location. Wouldnt have minded porridge as a breakfast option. Staff would look more professional if they wrere to discard red fleece and opt for more professional look ?

Staff members were great!! Food was good. Very clean. Room needed some shelves or drawers since we there 8 nights.
