Nice hotel located near the harbor of Malaga. It's a 15 to 20 minute walk from the historic center. Parking was convenient in the hotel's parking garage (tight like any parking garage in Spain, so don't bring a large SUV...). The room was very spacious. The hotel is in a quieter area, so ideal for a relaxing visit to Malaga. The staff was friendly and professional.

Good location - walkable to the city centre in about 25 minutes. Near the industrial bit of the port so not the most photogenic views, but very handy for the train station! Fantastic room, spotlessly clean and one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in. Great shower (but it took a long time to heat up). Breakfast was good and had decent variety. The pool was nice but it was shame for it to still be in 'winter' mode (i.e. heated very warm and with the roof closed) even though it was 28 degrees! Good sauna. Cold water dispensers on each floor were welcome. The air con worked but it took a long time to cool the room down, and one of the two units was extremely noisy. Staff were very helpful.

We stayed at Hotel ILUNION Malaga from May 23 to May 25, 2026. Immediately upon arrival, we reported that the room was extremely hot and that the air conditioning was not working properly. The hotel staff repeatedly informed us that a technician would come “soon,” but the issue was never resolved that first night. The room became very uncomfortable and we were unable to sleep properly due to the heat. I requested to be moved to another room, but the hotel informed us they were fully booked. Only on the second day were they finally able to relocate us to a different room. This experience has been really disappointing.

I thought that the property was well maintained and attractive and comfortable. I loved the indoor pool, which was enclosed, but bright and sunny with space outside to lay in the sun. It was not as close to downtown as I would have liked- a ten or fifteen minute walk, but I was glad to be there.

Breakfast was good. Not much choice for an evening meal which was all pretty basic. Our bathroom was dark & very tired looking with a rusty plug hole. Could do with a refurb. Location was perfect for us. Pool was small and not many loungers.

Always very helpful staff. Lovely clean hotel- even the cleaning staff are lovely and wish you hello and a good day. Spa and pool are super additions with a small sun deck around the pool. Towels are available free at reception. Near to Maria Zambrano station- a couple of stops away from the airport. Easy walking to the centre with lashings of bars and restuarants. Reception have a facility to store your cases if you have a late flight but have time to do last minute swim or walk. There is a nice beach a little way off the port (15 mins walk). Out the hotel to the right. The hotel also has a couple of children’s play areas quite close by.

I’ve stayed in this hotel many times and now I’m begging to see small details that feel like the quality of the services are not up to the usual standards as they were as recently as 3 years ago, the staff are always impeccable as always and can not be faulted for their work and hospitality which is a credit to them and a big part of why I use this hotel, but definitely there are small details that show that quality is suffering.

Close to train/ bus station . 20 minute walk to marina / cathedral etc . Nice modern clean hotel . Pool area small , ok . Only stayed one night so can’t really comment on amenities, food etc . Not keen on dogs being allowed in the hotel

Room was very clean . Household staff were very helpful and cheerful . Lounge and bar area very stylish . The spa is quite small, the steam room was out of action at the time of our stay, there were no staff around. The swimming pool is good .
