Very well located.

clean room and good value

The location of The Rialto is perfect for exploring the Gothic quarter and further afield. There are many shops, restaurants and placas close by. Our room was very comfortable and the breakfast in the beautiful dining area was excellent. The only downside is the lack of hot drinks amenities. Nothing in the room or common lounge, just a vending machine. The air conditioning in the room worked well and there were windows that could be opened.

The hotel was in a good location. We did not eat there. Clean rooms. Good bathroom area. Small room as advertised.. Helpful staff.

Everything anout the hotel, met or exceeded my expectations. The room was largw, the bed comfortable, the bathroom had more than the necessary amenities. I plan to stay there on my next trip to Barcelona.

Very nice and professional staff, perfect position

Check-in was smooth, and we appreciated being allowed into our room an hour early. Unfortunately, the stay quickly deteriorated due to inconsistent and unsafe guidance from staff. One attendant showed us how to use the thermostat and safe, but instructions were unclear, requiring three calls for help. While common areas were cool, our room was extremely hot. Another staff member said rooms only had heat, not A/C, and advised us to sleep with the windows open. The windows had no screens or security, which felt unsafe. A serious issue arose when a leak developed in the bathroom ceiling, with water coming through the light fixture. This caused repeated power outages. When we called, a staff member told us to reset the circuit breaker ourselves each time power failed—an unsafe and inappropriate instruction. The electricity went out every 5–10 minutes as the leak worsened. A night manager later confirmed the fire risk and moved us. By then, we were exhausted and shaken after following unsafe directions. We had to pack and move multiple times, ending up in a smaller room with no compensation. This all occurred within 12 hours. In 40+ years of travel, we’ve never been told to handle electrical issues ourselves. Attempts to reach Hotels.com support that night were unsuccessful.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Rialto. Lots of restaurants bars to choose from. Great neighborhood. The hotel is extremely clean and the staff extremely helpful with recommendations. Breakfast buffet was very good with lots of choices. Would definitely stay there again.

Rooms were nice and spacious, everything you need for a city hotel. In a great location!

Great location with walking distance to several sites. Right in between two major Metro stations (Liceu and Jaume I) which makes transportation and transfers in between stations very easy.

I Had 2 twin beds, thought I booked Full. No big deal but they were very firm.Sheets and pillows were a fine quality I had corner room facing street on 5th floor. It had two floor to ceiling doors to open to a very small balcony. I put a stool on it one sunny afternoon to people watch and have a glass of local wine . There was construction next door on street which was very noisy for a few days before the weekend . We saw Palm Sunday processions from balcony on our street which was nice. I stayed 6 days. Note, they do not use washcloths in Europe. But towels and maid service was good. We did not have a coffee maker or electric pot in room. They provided 2 paper cups as needed. No glasses. The heating/cooling unit was not yet turned on because of season ( March 25-31) so we had to open window doors for ventilation. Two types of curtains for shade on doors. Room was small, nice closet, large modern bathroom was nice. Water was hot. Best part was the morning breakfast buffet. Excellent choice, best I have seen. Great coffee coices too. Beautiful decor and is in basement level. The day before we left we ordered a taxi at the check in desk, it was there on time next day. Hotel is located near many popular places.

The room was small with a twin bed. The noise from the corridors was very loud in my room. I'm glad my room was more remote. I could hear water from I assume flushing toilets all night long. However, the hotel was clean and the people at the front desk were very helpful to me. The location was very good for the Ramblas and Picasso Museum. There is a direct metro to Sagrada Familia only about 5 minute walk away (then about 10 minute walk over to the basilica from the metro). Lots of places to eat on the block and on Ramblas.

I have to say that my biggest gripe in not neccesarily with the property directly but with Expedia. Expedia's website lists this property as having air conditioning. THEY DID NOT while we were there. The hotel's website essentially says they have AC based on the season. While it was pleasant outside, it was extremely hot indoors. Because of the season, they did not have AC. We were told to open our windows. We had medication that had to be kept at room temperature but due to the lack of AC, had to throw it away because the room was too hot. My recomendation before booking would be to confirm if their AC will be available or not. Also, Expedia needs to update their listing to be more accurate. As far as everything else is concerned (except the bed), this hotel was top notch. I cannot say enough about the friendliness of the staff, the location of the hotel was wonderful being within walking distance of so may attractions and the breakfast buffet was delicious.

Breakfast was really good. Location is perfect next to 2 Metro station s 6 mins walk Only thing no kettle for Tea and Coffee. Other than that perfect stay.

Couldn’t have booked a better hotel

The location is excellent. Nearby are many good cafes and restaurants with decent prices. The staff is excellent: very helpful and friendly.

No AC this time of year so left the window open and No bugs and very cool. Fantastic Full Breabfast including champagne! Only thing missing was in room coffee pot, but worth the sacrifice!
