Ciledug Train Station

Ciledug Station (CLD) is a station located in Damarguna, Ciledug, Cirebon. This station is part of the Cirebon Operational Area III. Ciledug Station is located in the easternmost part of West Java. Previously, this station had three railway lines. Line two is a straight track, then a double track was built on the Larangan-Ciledug segment and then continued with the last segment Cirebon-Ciledug in 2015, then the Ciledug Station line was increased to four lines. Line 2 goes to Cirebon, line 4 goes to Prupuk and line 3 goes straight. Ciledug Station is one of the stations that still maintains the original station building which was built during the Dutch East Indies period by the Staatsspoorwegen railway company. Heading west from Ciledug Station, before Sindanglaut Station there is Karangsuwung Station which has not been operated since the operation of the Cirebon-Prupuk double track crossing. To the east, there is Ketanggungan Station which is also no longer in operation due to the construction of the double track.

Water tower

Ciledug Station has a water tower which was previously used to irrigate the steam locomotive boiler. The shape of this water tower is a hexagon. Similar water towers can also be found at Ketanggungan and Sindanglaut Stations. Until now the water tower at Ciledug Station is still used for toilets and ablution places, which require clean water.

Same Name

There are two different stations with the same name, namely Ciledug Station. Ciledug Station at Darmaguna Cirebon (this station) and Ciledug SCS Station which are located on the Bedilan - Waruduwur railway line. However, Ciledug SCS Station is no longer operational because the line was dismantled by Japanese romusha workers in 1942.
