Great hotel in an excellent location. House keeping staff were super helpful :) We had a family room for 3 adults, main bed was very comfortable the sofa bed wasn’t great, probably ok for kids though! Apart from that we had a really brilliant stay!

Anything but grand. Room was tired and dated. Carpet was stained and worn down. Toilet seat kept coming off and shower curtain was ripped and dirty. Definitely wouldnt stay here again.

Having asked for the room to be cleaned, the beds were left unmade, the teabags were not replaced, the towels were unnecessarily changed and a face flannel not belonging to the hotel was removed.

The property has a very unique style and is in a great location. Having car parking in central Bristol is a bonus. We were very kindly upgraded to a premium room due to my disability. We were allocated a front room but as the property is old there is no double glazing so you could hear people talking as they were walking past and the delivery lorry at 7.30 am. Also we had a room with a connecting door so we could hear the guests next doors every word. As it's an old building I would imagine that the walls are quite thick and may not be a problem in other rooms. Also the quirky wardrobe doors are made from metal and make a lot of noise when being opened and closed so we heard other guests doors banging. The bed was a comfy king-size. We didn't take the breakfast or use the bar so cannot comment on those. The toilet paper was very thin so you had to use so much of it. A better quality would save them money. I was glad that I had taken my own mirror as the dressing table had the TV above rather than a mirror. I would stay again but not in a front room.

Good points - Very friendly and helpful staff, room very clean. Hotel in an excellent location for Bristol town centre. 24 Hour car park next door and was able to leave car there during the whole stay Poor points - One of the two small lifts out-of-action during our stay so during busy times, at breakfast & when a large party was checking in, there would be a long wait to use the lifts. Important for someone of limited mobility. Relatively minor - Two rooms booked but were at opposite ends of the corridor. Reception did look at moving us closer but most other rooms already booked and the only available room was only three rooms closer so we stayed in the rooms originally given. Lock on one of the doors not latching properly and needed a good firm tug to ensure it was locked. Also Key Card for the lock on same door not operating properly. Always took three attempts to unlock door, with it giving three short beeps each unsuccessful attempt. Reported to reception who advised that the batteries in the door lock probably need changing. They marked it down to be checked by their maintenance staff but was never put right during our stay.

hotel is nice, in a very convenient central location, but it is definitely not perfect. The beds are quite uncomfortable as you can feel the springs + pockets of the mattress. The walls are quite chipped, and some of the lights don't work. The Bathroom was not particularly clean with paper stuffed into the sink hole for some reason. Worst of all though, is that the fire alarm went off at 5/6am disturbing my whole family, with no one being able to get back to sleep. I would recommend this hotel for convenience, but i would not suggest a long stay here.

Location was excellent! So close to city centre, restaurants, Bristol Beacon etc The lady on reception struggled to understand us when we asked about the car parking and if we had paid prior to arrival. Her colleague JJ sf to help her out. Room smelt of fish when we first arrived so we went to Primark and bought a room freshener which helped (we didn't report it as only there one night, a couple in front of us at reception when we were checking out were asking to move to a different room as their current room had a bad smell to it). The room itself was dark and dingy. However the beds were comfy and we slept well. The window opened just over a cm and was dirty and run down. The bathroom was mainly clean apart from where the screen joined the bath, it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The breakfast was not worth what we paid for it, average at best, fruit platter didn't get replenished and looked as though it had been out for a while and hot food just tasted bog standard. Car parking is very expensive at £19 and more than we were expecting as on Expedia who we booked through, says it's £15 for 24 hours and we felt that was expensive as the spaces are very tight although having parking opposite the hotel was very useful. One of the lifts was out of order although there was no sign to say so, they were extremely small and slow so it felt like you waited ages for it to arrive. Overall, we felt that the room and food was very expensive for what we expected and paid for.

Supposed to quite a top hotel. Parking £19 which is extortionate for a night. Parking was part of hotel but was as clean as a public toilet. Shower no soap in bottle and since could swap them had to nip in and out of shower to sink dispenser. WORST think though was a charge of 5£ to store luggage. I have probably stay in 200 or 300 differnt hotels...first time EVER. SHODDY FLEECE THE CLIENT PRACTICE

Just stayed one night and had no breakfast. Room was fantastic! Spacious, clean and tidy. Lovely big shower. Air con extremely well received! Check in staff was friendly and helpful. Car park next door for £19 which is reasonable and handy. Only criticism is a coldwater dispenser would have been really useful in this hot weather as stayed in hotels in area that have them.

Old, run down, noisy, small, cold 'cooked' breakfast. U have to pay £9 per day for 'clear air zone' (not the fault of the hotel, just a foolish swindle from local council which means we'll never come back to bristol again. Staff were nice. Good location, if youre not dri ing there.

Room had damp issues around the window frame which is strange to see in the summer months. Queued at reception to check in, the reception team ignored us and dealt with another guest who walked straight past us. Staff that we interacted with didn’t seem very interested in talking at all.
