About Japura Airport in Rengat

Japura Airport (IATA: RGT) serves Rengat, the capital of Indragiri Hulu Regency in Riau province, Indonesia. It is one of Riau's older airfields. An oil company built it in the 1950s to fly its staff, and the Indonesian government later took it over.

For some years the airport saw little passenger traffic and was used mainly for pilot training. Commercial flights have since returned, giving Indragiri Hulu a direct air link to the Riau Islands.
