Seletar's current passenger terminal replaced an older building on the other side of the runway. It is a two-storey building with four check-in counters in the departure hall, immigration lanes, security screening and a gate hold room for around 200 passengers. Because everything is close together, the walk from check-in to the gate takes only a few minutes.

Food, Wi-Fi and money

Choices are limited compared with Changi. The terminal has a café, Teh Tarik Express, serving local coffee, tea and light bites. Free Wi-Fi covers both the public areas and the transit area. There is a currency exchange service in the arrival hall, handy if you need some ringgit before you board.

Assistance and shopping

Wheelchairs and strollers can be borrowed from the information and customer service counter, on a first come, first served basis. Shoppers can collect iShopChangi orders at the departure and arrival halls, and eligible visitors can use the tourist GST refund scheme.

Business aviation

The terminal also houses the Seletar Business Aviation Centre, with its own drop-off area, check-in and lounge for private and business jet passengers. Scheduled Firefly passengers do not use this area.

Getting to and from Seletar Airport

By bus and MRT

Public bus service 102 stops right outside the terminal, linked by a sheltered walkway. It connects the airport with Sengkang MRT station and Hougang Central, so you can change to the North East MRT line for the rest of Singapore. Pay with an EZ-Link card or exact cash.

Taxi and private hire

Taxis serve Seletar Airport, with metered fares and an airport surcharge. Private-hire rides can be booked through the usual apps, such as Grab and Gojek. Fewer cars wait at Seletar than at Changi, so book your ride a little before you clear arrivals.

By car

There is a car park at the terminal for drivers and for anyone meeting arriving passengers.

Tips for flying from Seletar Airport

For Firefly flights, the check-in counters at Seletar open two hours before departure and close 30 minutes before. That is far shorter than at a large hub, but give yourself enough time to clear check-in, immigration and security without a rush. Travellers coming from the west or north of Singapore should also allow for the bus or taxi ride, since the airport is not on an MRT line.

Bring your passport, as the flight is international and you pass through Singapore immigration on departure and Malaysian immigration on arrival at Subang.
