When is the Best Time to Fly to Bangkok?

Bangkok has a tropical monsoon climate and generally remains hot and humid throughout the year. An ideal vacation spot, Bangkok is almost a year-round destination. However, the peak season is between November and March when the tourist footfall is particularly high. The months of March, April and May are the hottest. November to February is the best time to visit Thailand as the climate is relatively mild and sunny with little humidity, there is less rainfall and it also coincides with some fantastic festivals and events. During March to May, although these are Bangkok's hottest months, it is also the time when Bangkok celebrates the Thai New Year with great festivity and cheer. May to October: Regarded as Bangkok's ‘low season', this is a great time to visit the city as you can fetch some great deals on hotels and excursions.

Located in the center of the Southeast Asian Peninsula, Thailand is a beautiful island that enjoys a year-round balmy climate and plenty of tropical sunshine. High temperatures and humidity describe Bangkok weather throughout the year. April and May receive the hottest temperatures while the weather in June sees the monsoon pattern bringing heavy rain through to October. While many regions receive rain during this time, the days are generally sunny and the showers pass quickly. As a tropical island, the wet season is a vital part of Bangkok’s climate and is responsible for the lush jungle environment and plant life that is so plentiful here.

Bangkok is a vibrant and intriguing cosmopolitan. It is simply sensational as Thailand's fascinating capital presents exciting festivals and activity for both residents and visitors, young and old. Bangkok provides a wide variety of activities, events, parties and other happenings. With a variety of temple fairs, food festivals and art installation, exciting festivals are held a lot in Bangkok. Loy Krathong is one of the most aesthetically picturesque festivals in Bangkok. During the evening of the full moon of the 12th month in the traditional Thai lunar calendar, people gather around lakes, rivers, and canals to pay their respects to the Goddess of Water by releasing beautiful lotus-shaped rafts, decorated with candles, incense and flowers onto the water. Chinese New Year is one of the most happening celebrations in the Chinatown of Bangkok. The entire street is filled with crowds of worshippers, exploding firecrackers, dragon dancers, and families of the Chinese descent who gather to take part in the street fanfare as well as enjoy delicious Chinese banquets.
