Yangon International Airport (RGN) serves Yangon from Mingaladon Township in Myanmar's Yangon Region. International flights use Terminal 1, while domestic flights use Terminal 3. The terminal matters when arranging a taxi, choosing a departure lounge or continuing to another flight within Myanmar.
The international building handles flights beyond Myanmar.
Myanmar Airways International and Myanmar National Airlines also operate domestic services, so the airline name alone does not identify your building. Read the flight destination and terminal on the e-ticket together.
Terminal 3 handles flights within Myanmar. Its airline list includes Mingalar Airline, Myanmar Airways International, Myanmar National Airlines and Mann Yadanarpon Airlines. A domestic connection involves this building even when your international arrival was at Terminal 1.
Terminal 2 is temporarily closed for renovation. Recheck the terminal for your booked flight before travel, especially when planning a connection between an international and a domestic service.
Grab airport taxis can be booked for RGN. Enter the destination and correct terminal, then follow the pickup directions in your booking. International-arrival pickup is at Terminal 1; meet the vehicle at the designated area after completing arrival formalities and collecting your baggage.
Mingalar Sky Lounge and Mingalar Sky CIP Lounge are in the international airside departure area on the second floor of Terminal 1. These spaces offer seating, refreshments and Wi-Fi. The lounge is after the passenger checks, so someone meeting an arriving traveller cannot simply enter this departure area.
The domestic Mingalar Sky Lounge is airside in Terminal 3. Its refreshments and internet facilities are useful while waiting for a domestic departure. Choose the lounge in your departure building rather than assuming an international lounge pass lets you move into another terminal's passenger area.
The international Mingalar Sky lounges have shower facilities. Ask about access and shower availability before entering; this is a lounge service rather than an unrestricted public shower. Lounge entry depends on the ticket, an eligible membership or the paid-entry arrangement available for that lounge.
Eligible Singapore Airlines customers can use the international Mingalar Sky CIP Lounge. Confirm the entitlement attached to your flight and bring the boarding pass and any required membership evidence. An economy ticket alone should not be treated as automatic admission.
Follow your airline's check-in instructions for the booked service. International and domestic journeys use separate buildings, and a connection needs time for the next flight's formalities. Review passport, entry and customs requirements with the relevant authorities before an international journey.
Compare a flight to Yangon with your onward plans before choosing a ticket. The fare cards and date-based schedule tables help you compare airlines and planned departure or arrival times. Open the flight details to see whether a journey involves a connection and review baggage conditions before booking.
