The hotel is close to the center, near the train station, convenient to move to attractions and shopping. Receptionist enthusiastic support, happy room is a bit small, soundproof is not very good... microwave, hair dryer, iron, salon, television... In general, the room is suitable for the price.

Everything was pretty good for the price. The bed was comfortable which is one of the most important things and the breakfast was buffet for only $21 which is crazy knowing a coffee and a croissant cost that in any cafe.

I thought the overall cleanliness of the building was great. I found the location a great place for everything that I wanted to visit and things that I needed during my trip. The staff was also helpful when I was checking in. However, as soon as I walked in my room and shut the door, I saw a dirty napkin shoved into the peephole of my door. The shower smelled of mildew as soon as I turned the water on. It also seemed that my sheets were not washed in between customers. There were marks and stains all over the sheets and I found hair throughout the whole bed that wasn't mine so that was a little uncomforting.

In the overpriced Sydney hotel market this is one of the more reasonably priced. That usually means ‘bad’ but not so here. The self service checkin failed, as it does everywhere, always a waste of time. But the room for one night was fine. Comfortable bed in a small room, small cupboard but surprisingly a small kitchen sink. Bathroom was modern though the shower was only mediocre. Aircon worked, if a bit noisy. Great location short walk to Central station, restaurants and pubs. Breakfast good to very good! In all pleasantly surprised, and would stay again at the right price.

The Hotel was in a good central position. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The blackout curtains were good. But the house keeping let the hotel down, first I was given the wrong room, a double instead of a twin, then when in the correct room there were no towels, then no shower gel and even when I mention to one of the house keeper I still didn’t get any. They didn’t refill the coffee and sugar ect, no biscuits. They left a very wet shower mat for both mornings, didn’t empty the bins, or do any cleaning or make the beds properly, so all this really let the hotel down unfortunately.

I thought the hotel was excellent value for money. For a last minute stay on a Sunday night I paid $162 when most other comparable hotels in a similiar location were $250 to $300 on the same night. The location is excellent being close to Central and the CBD with plenty of excellent cafes close by. One of the things I really liked was a seperate sink for kitchen type duties. I always find washing up in the bathroom a bit yuck ( think Kramer washing up while taking a shower, if you ever watched Sienfeld) . Also while there were a heap of pillows on the bed, they were different thicknesses. Such a simple thing but you hardly ever see it, someone has obviously thought about it. I like a low pillow and have resorted to carrying my own as mostly they are too high. I had forgotten mine this time but I had a selection of heights, so all good. When selecting this hotel I read several reviews saying it was old fashioned. I didn’t see this as my room was modern and spacious for a budget level place , but maybe some floors haven’t been renovated yet. I was in the third floor and it was fine. Would certainly stay again particularly if the price differential with the competition stays similar to what I experienced.

When we checked in there were no towels for the shower. I got towels and then left them on the racks as the signs indicated so they wouldn't take them the following day for cleaning. We were out when housekeeping came, and they took the towels anyway and once again left us with no towels. They even left the dirty wet facewasher as the only thing to "dry" our hands on. They also made the bed, but did not clean or replace our glasses. At over $400/ night that's just not good enough.
