Room did not reflect photos and was horrible basement flat, in clean toilet , bed on it side next to wall , no head board , 1 awful pillow , light switch not even on the wall properly, the room was noisy with underground train every 5 mins until 2:30 am, TV had no channels. Out side light came on when any one walked by . Horrible stay even considered going home, not a bathroom more like a portaloo my husband could even fit in , worst HOTEL Ive ever stayed in

Just poor in all ways. See Google review for photos to describe this review. Greeted at reception by a chap in a smelly office with bare feet. Room for had gaps all around it (not fire) bed bases worn, sockets old and yellow, carpet worn, marks all over the wall and for fun a bare bulb for lighting. As initially mentioned just poor! If it was £50 for a stopover I would have managed, not £100s avoid unless in dianneed.

Genuinely the worst armpit room in London. Had to hold my breath before using the airplane type loo as the smell from the pipes was so awful. A night in the police cells would have been nicer (and free)....why are Hotels.com even affiliated with this places?

My stay at Goodwood Hotel was disappointing. Upon arrival, I encountered extremely poor customer service — the front desk staff (who I believe was also the manager) was rude and raised his voice at me when I calmly suggested there was a better way to communicate hotel policies. I was surprised at the hostility, especially when I was simply asking about holding my bags for a couple of hours before check-in. The rooms are very small, and most of them have *shared bathrooms*, which was in the advert but you have to be paying attention. None of the rooms are as advertised - the front desk staff verbatim said the picture posted online is used for all the rooms and the rooms don’t actually look like that. The bathroom facilities were in poor condition — more like small closet-sized stalls, with the toilet and shower in separate, cramped spaces. Not kept clean - Definitely not what you'd expect even from a 2-star hotel. The bed was reasonably comfortable, and check-in/out outside of the first encounter went smoothly. That said, you truly get what you pay for — maybe even less. I was glad it was just a one-night stay!

Arrived at hotel, reception didn’t seem aware of the process. Went up to the bedroom which was on a slant, with uneven floorboards and the wooden cupboards were water damaged. Our room was adjacent to the shared toilet, we could hear a man urinating as if we were in the toilet with him. We weren’t aware that the bathroom’s were shared and would have made a go of it but my wife is pregnant and the showers were on different floors, so it was unsuitable. Spoke to hotels.com regarding the issue and they agreed to call reception and ask for a refund. It took too long so we checked out, the receptionist was in the ignoring the ringing phone. It then took the hotel three days to answer the call from Hotels.com regarding a refund, but they refused. Avoid if you desire cleanliness and a good attitude.
