Hampton by Hilton Bath City

Hotel is very central and comfortable, rooms are a decent size. However, when we checked in we noticed a lot of loose hair in our shower. We brought this to the attention of the desk staff who said they’d inform housekeeping to get it cleaned. (It wasn’t a stray hair - there were so many long dark hairs on the shower tray, glass, taps, toiletries and tiles. Also on the bathroom floor and the floor immediately outside the toilet). When we returned after 10pm, they were all still there. I cleaned them myself as I was desperate for a shower having been sightseeing for hours in 30 degree heat and having also arrived from 34 degree heat in Paris earlier in the day. This left a bitter taste in my mouth given that you’re paying £215 per night to stay there. The air conditioning worked well and kept the room comfortable given the heat and we were grateful for the fridge. The breakfast that’s included is fantastic. Very fresh and varied. Would we return or recommend the hotel? Probably not due to the unclean shower and the fact that it wasn’t rectified when brought to the attention of staff.

The room was clean but breakfast was very crowded and was difficult to get what I needed. Often the coffee machine doesn't work

Nice modern hotel

Well located, spotless and spacious room and bathroom. Lovely staff. Excellent buffet breakfast - croissants and pains au chocolat up there with the best I've ever eaten.

Wonderful maintained hotel in the centre of Bath, excellent location, breakfast and staff.

It's was nice very clean I just feel 150 a night for what it actault is is outrageous

Great hotel in a perfect location to explore Bath.

Location was good. Most places walkable. Most Staff were very helpful. All had good knowledge of the area. One slight thing was that only egg option was scrambled. Many hotels do that these days which I understand may be a way of providing mass catering economically. However, quite a number of guests may need another option.

Great location to stay in the centre but nice a quiet. Stayed in a super king room. Great breakfast. Really lovely staff

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, the hotel itself was very clean and the room was immaculate with air conditioning which was very much appreciated in the hot weather. Also centrally located which was a plus I would definitely recommend.

The rooms and bathrooms are big For UK standards. Very clean. Quiet hotel and has AC. Towels changed every day. Great breakfast, hot and cold. Accommodating for alerges Great staff. Great Location, everything was walkable. Train only 7 mins away. Would stay again.

Clean simple and easy

Hotel is in a good location central to shops/restaurant's. Room was very clean and comfortable and had amazing Air-con. Breakfast was standard buffet breakfast.

Great location, walking distance to train station, hotel did not have a lobby, and they have a late check in, We arrived early during breakfast time and were not welcomed to stay. We sat down to rest and were told the chairs were for guests . We have been traveling around the world and have never encountered such a situation . We were tired and could not stay during their breakfast time .

Ok then - we decided to upgrade our experience to a Premium room with king bed, on arrival noticed that room size was not same as advertised (a lot smaller). When we queried with reception- to be informed that as booking was through a 3rd party it didn’t qualify for a proper premium room, these rooms were for guests who pay Hilton rates☹️☹️☹️☹️. Lesson learnt
