The Yorkshire

We only stayed one night, it was clean comfortably bed, nice shower, good breakfast. Paying£15 for parking was surprise as i didn't see that when booking the hotel, as i wouldn't of stayed in this hotel.

Room was lovely and clean, but unfortunately window was onto a service ‘alley’ and noisy.

So so. Staff on reception not particularly interestes or helpful. Room ok although supposes to be superior. Would choose another hotel if in Harrogate again.

Very pleasant stay, comfortable, quit room, friendly staff and great evening meal and breakfast.

I was unimpressed by The Yorkshire. Our double room cost over £350 (though I managed to get £60 off with OneKey). It was a box. The basics - the towels , the bed - were fine. But for that sort of money I’d expect a lot more. A nicer decor? Bottled water? A coffee machine rather than Nescafé sachets? Decent products in the bathroom? A bigger bathroom!? Nah. Nothing. Perhaps a decent breakfast would justify the cost and maybe lighten my mood? Sadly not. It was an old fashioned buffet with old fashioned standards: rubbery fried eggs, dry (over-cooked) black pudding, very salty bacon. Stewed filter coffee. Weak orange juice. The sausages were okay and at least I managed to get the last packet of crunchy nut cornflakes. Also, breakfast is served on the 5th floor, presumably so we can enjoy the views over the town. So why put everything and everybody in the back room where there is no view? We were in Harrogate for a funeral that didn’t start till after 1pm. Could we, therefore, arrange a late check-out please? Yes, but for an extra £20, on top of the £350 already paid. And only until 12.30, not 1pm. I’ve been fortunate enough to stay in some lovely hotels. And I’ve stayed on a lot of budget hotels too. The Yorkshire is sub-entry level hotel-keeping at premium prices. We were disappointed.

I noticed a lot of scuffs on my bedroom door and around the hotel, which for a 4 star hotel I was surprised and disappointed with.

We stayed for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. It was such a good experience and we would definitely return. The room was adequate and staff were amazing, especially at breakfast. The breakfast was really top quality too. Highly recommend.

Very good overall

Good price for a solo traveller for one night but desk is quite short so hard to use for work

My wife and i stayed two nights ,the room was ok but the decor was awful, it looked as if decorator had a few odds and sods left over and decided to do the best he could with off cuts and leftovers. The shower had very little power and didnt drain well at all, there was no shower cap for my wife,the room bin had no liner on both days. We had a meal in the restaurant,it was fantastic and the waiting staff were brilliant,it was a lovely bar and restaurant. I would definately go back for a meal but i wouldnt stay again .

Great hotel in Harrogate. Lots of shops and restaurants close by. The only downside is parking, but it’s not the end of the world there are other places to park.
