I recently stayed here for a business trip to Jayapura, and overall, it was a very productive experience. The location is highly strategic, situated right in the heart of Jayapura’s city center, which made commuting to various business meetings and government offices very convenient. The room itself was impressive, compact, clean, and well-designed to meet all my basic needs as a business traveler. It provided a comfortable space to rest after a long day of work. However, one area that could use an upgrade is the food variety. I stayed for three nights, and I found the menu to be quite repetitive and limited. Enhancing the breakfast spread and dinner options would definitely elevate the guest experience. Despite this, it remains a solid and reliable choice for anyone visiting Jayapura on business!

This is my second time at this hotel. The food is delicious, with Eastern Indonesian flavors, including the Manadonese porridge. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and make you feel at home.

The hotel staff was very friendly. If I ever go back to Jayapura, I'd love to stay at the Mercure again.

I stayed 3 nights at this hotel with the hope of getting the best service. But in reality I stayed at a 4-star hotel but the room facilities were still below 3 stars. There are several things that are very much outside the standards of a 4-star hotel, namely: - Compliment toilet only has a toothbrush, without: bar soap, cotton buds, comb, sanitary bag, vanity kit, shower cap, etc. - The previous guest's drink in the refrigerator was not removed/removed from the time I checked in until I checked out. - The drinking water jug in the room was not refilled/replaced & the glass was washed, even though there was no compliment bottled mineral water in the room. - The breakfast assortment was very minimal and lacked variety.
