What else to say about Apurva Kempinski? All are perfect. No negative comments. Reception is quick and helpful. Frontliner staff that accompanying us to the room, Celine, is very helpful and explained a lot. Room was great. Clean. Perfect. Bathroom are very cozy and let's not forget the automatic smart toilet. Even they serve ice cubes - as expected from 5 star hotel. Swimming pools are huge. Beach is clean and the sands are soft. Beach club also serve best foods and drinks. Transfer to/from lobby provided buggy car service and even though I'm worried at first on the availability, well that's not the case. Buggy will come within 3 minutes after we asked for one. Breakfast was superb. Food variety are good. We stayed 2 nights and really hate has to leave on the 3rd day. It was a very pleasant experience and we are looking forward to visit Apurva Kempinski again in the future. Oh and the Coral restaurant - stunning!

From random finding on the app to the super satisfying awesome experience in Potato Head. Why? 1. Their hospitality is at best, to local and international guests. Equal. Not just best. Great! 2. They provide lot of things to maximize our staycation there. 3. Got 3 merchandises for free! 4. There's library ❤️. Also 24 hours gym, headphone bar (listening music from vinyl disc), ETC. 5. Close to anything which I needed (groceries, pharmacy, boutique, etc) 6. Super sustainable ❤️ (You'll know once you choose to stay there 😉) 7. Rest. Go find it by yourself ~I assure you won't get disappointed in Potato Head Beach Club Studios 😉❤️. I'm looking forward to come back there, ASAP. Aamiin.

Stayed for 3 nights as part of the VIsa-on-Arrival program by the Indonesian Government as it opens up the country: Plus: great location in Seminyak, nicely designed 4-star hotel, comfortable and clean room, excellent staff support despite short of resources as I was told. Value for money (good offer during this recovery time) with breakfast for 2. Seems like the place is very Instagrammable as I saw lots of local tourists taking shots. The patisserie at the hotel front was incredible good. Negative: towels/bedsheets smelly. Their laundry department needs to improve on this. Food at the hotel is limited and quite average. Not many choices around the hotel as many were closed during a pandemic. The rooftop is dead (or closed). Would be nice if the lighting is turned on. Overall 4.5-star rating for a 4-star hotel.

The room have a lot of space. So modern style for young people who love to do staycation or vacation. The gym and the pool good enough for me. Indomart and Circle K near by. The restaurant around also. It's far from beach but they offer Jacuzzi in Sky Terrace. You need to tell the Staff when you wanna use it. So they will refill the water for you. I stay here 2 nights and I recommend Daun Hotel Seminyak for you. You will not dissapointed. Kind Regards.

Bit of a funky smell when you walk in. Seems like it caters mostly to Indonesian and SE Asian guests. Front desk service was very slow, but also very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was OK. I guess it is what a seasoned traveler would expect for the money.

Pro Tips for Traveling in Bali

If you plan to visit Bali, here are some pro tips for tourists:

Respect Local Customs

It's important to respect Balinese traditions and cultural customs during your visit. When you're at temples, make sure to dress modestly as a sign of reverence. Also, keep in mind that using your right hand to give or receive things is considered polite and respectful in their culture. These small gestures show your appreciation for their way of life and help you connect more deeply with the local people and their traditions.

Stay Hydrated

Bali's tropical weather can sometimes make you feel quite thirsty due to its heat. To counter this, it's a good idea to carry a water bottle that you can use again and again. By doing this, you can make sure you drink enough water to stay hydrated all day long.

Stay Sun-Safe

Since Bali's sun is very strong, it's important to be cautious. Remember to apply sunscreen, wear a hat and sunglasses, and find shade during the hottest times of the day. These steps will help you avoid sunburn and stay comfortable as you enjoy your time exploring and experiencing Bali's attractions.

Bargain Wisely

When you're shopping at local markets, you may bargain to get the best deal of your favorite item. It would be best if you negotiate the price in a respectful and friendly manner. Bargaining is a common practice in many markets, and it's a way to ensure you get a fair deal while also respecting the local vendors and their livelihoods. Remember to maintain a friendly tone, smile, and be patient during the process. By practicing this approach, you can enjoy the experience of shopping while also contributing positively to the local economy and maintaining a positive interaction with the people you meet.

Book Ahead

If you plan to visit popular restaurants or tourist attractions on the weekend, it would be best to make reservations in advance – to make sure you don't miss out on the experiences you want. By doing so, you can secure your spot and avoid disappointment due to availability issues. This proactive approach allows you to have a smoother and more enjoyable time, knowing that you have your desired activities and accommodations reserved and ready for your visit.
