Novotel Melbourne on Collins

Great central location. Nice rooms

Staff were super friendly and quick check in and out. Breakfast is recommended, various food options and easy location.

Breakfast was great. Very central location, easy for shoppoing.

Great location, however the hotel is dated, in need of an upgrade. Two of the three elevators were not working. it was not what I would have expected from Novotel.

The breakfast was awsome ,great way to start your day .Staff more than happy to make your breakfast complete with that barrista made coffee. Room clean .Our stay and location was very convenient everything we needed was within walking distance .

Friendly staff

The breakfast menu was ok, however, we got tired of the buffet breakfast after the second time we had it. There are plenty of small cafes nearby that serve perfect breakfast. The staff was very pleasant, allowed early check in, which was very helpful after the overnight flight. The downside was lift operation, out of 3 available lifts, only one was functional. During peak hours, the waiting time was very long, ended up using stairs most of the time, which are also not clearly displayed. Very inconvenient especially when carrying large luggage. Location is perfect, close to tourist attractions, cafes and shops which will suit each taste and budget.

The Novotel on Collins is the perfect stay, middle of the CBD close to shops and restaurants. The hotel staff were fantastic and the pool and spa were great. Definitely staying here again!

Great location. 24 hour desk was nice as we left well before dawn. The free city busses and trains was fantastic!

Hotel description states “Luxury hotel” pretty average to me, rooms have no power points next to bedsides. Be sure to request a room with a view at booking time, otherwise you’ll have a room view with air-con system vents. Ensure you bring your own toothbrush, razor and basics no longer provided. Two sets of lifts; inconvenient for seniors

Very disappointing. The room wasn't cleaned for 2 days and only done when we repeatedly complained. Food trays left outside several rooms for 24hrs. One out of three lifts working causing long delays. Don't think we will stay there again

Most staff were friendly and knowledgeable however bar staff were rude and ignored guests. Found dust on

Food ( I presume from room service from the previous occupants of our room) left for over a day by the door. Staff at concierge were attentive. Plastic in bath was lifting up and room was stuffy and hot overnight both nights

The breakfast was amazing: a wide choice of hot and cold dishes. The grab rails in shower & toilet were excellent, with a fold up 'table' in shower area. I thought the towels too thin. I also would have liked the option of warmer air, when the nights became cooler. I thought one more light was needed above the sofa in Room 803, or nearby, for reading.

Smorgasbord breakfast was good A/C in room was noisy Only 1 out of 3 lifts working with a conference happening created difficulty when descending

Well we’re do we start , room is dated no view paid for a upgrade spa room stuck in a corner ,carpet is a risk hazard waiting to happen ,frays as you walk into bathroom and throughout room had to ask for a additional chair so we could sit and eat as there was only one (1) chair in room Ordered breakfast and it the order on the door well and truly before the 230 am cut off woke up to NO breakfast when looked outside the door at 900am order still hanging on door come home to the the bathroom not cleaned at all spa still dirty This is the worst experience we have experienced with Novatel which we have frequently used for our previous accommodation Ordered room service for dinner and had to wait 1.45 hours for it to arrive then at 400pm dirty tray still sitting outside room ,DISGUSTING NOVATEL MELBOURNE ON COLLINS PICK YOUR GAME UP

Great service….. issues with lifts working ( was made clear on arrival) and accessing seperate lifts to reception then to room, but overall a good stay at a good location for a good price
