It was just ok. My son and I were going on a trip just the two of us. I thought I would treat us to staying at the chateau Laurier and my young son was so excited to stay in a ‘castle’. The lobby is stunning and the restaurants available are great. However the service was sub par. The cleaning staff was opening our door to clean at 8 am and kept coming back every 10-15 minutes. There was never enough time to tell them to stop coming back and I didn’t have the sign to put on the door to say no house cleaning. I phoned the concierge a few times with never an answer. There was no sort of ‘onboarding’ when I checked in - this resulted in my son and I wandering around the lobby looking for the pool. There was always lines at the front desk and concierge - so we never bothered to even try and get help. All in all - it was just ok. Not sure how they can get away charging what they do with the service they provide.

Room was lovely just slightly out dated but clean. Walls are paper thin could hear our neighbours arguing at night then at 7:45 am was awoken with unattended dog barking non stop for 40 min. Went for high tea at Zoe’s with my mom and daughter, I am on no carb/ sugar (which I did not mention as i didn’t think to) and did not want a tea tower .. and was belittled and loudly spoken to from the server that this was not appropriate and “ we would never have seated you had we known you were not ALL eating”. The location was wonderful. Next time we will find another hotel in the same neighbourhood.

Room was super. Unfortunately we were not impressed with other services, we had to collect baggage ourselves after an hour wait even thought the hotel was quite at the time. Ignored by food outlet staff twice. Check out staff tried to make up for deficiency with parking discount.
