Hampton Inn by Hilton Montreal Downtown

I was actually planning on giving it a five star. We stayed a total of 3 nighs. I asked for housekeeping services three times to three different people and it was not done. The last lady at the reception was the nicest. A handwritten note was left in our room apologizing for the inconvenience. But, housekeeping services were still not done. Other than this incident, rooms are clean, a wide variety of breakfast and location is awesome. Walking distance to all the touristy areas. Another thing to note is Hampton Inn is together with home suite Inn they’re both by Hilton. Our room had a kitchenette which we didn’t ask for. The chance of you getting a room in home suite is there. I personally did not have an issue with it however it’s good to know.

Was a really good hotel ! Clean and a very good staff

Modern well decorated. Large room and bath room. Only had one rolling chair to sit in. Breakfast room needed more seating . Staff and guests need to push chairs in with use and after use. BIG Kudos to Ly at front desk. She located shop to find specific hearing aide equipment to save a two week trip from being a frustrating disaster.

Overall a good option nearby downtown with a decent breakfast, but the area can be dirty and some near shelters can affect the experience. Also, the hotel has a club in the 6th floor that is available to everyone, so it can be loud some nights.

Room was clean and comfy. I received a cute goodie bag since I was attending the Grand Prix.

Great stay, lovely hotel and staff. Only negative was the loud music on our first night coming from two floors above. No issues on second night.

Great location, decent gym, close to the metro, and nice attached restaurant. Nightclub upstairs great for the 20-somethings, but did not partake. But glad I'm a heavy sleeper...

I stayed at the Hampton Inn by Hilton Downtown Montreal and was shocked by the unsafe conditions. On the night of our arrival, there was a violent bar fight in the hotel lobby that resulted in injuries and visible blood on the floor. This was traumatic and completely inappropriate for any guest — especially families. We felt unsafe, frightened, and immediately wanted to leave. I reported this to Expedia, through whom I booked, and to Hilton customer service. Both refused a refund and downplayed the incident, treating it as an inconvenience rather than a serious safety issue. Their customer service was dismissive and offered no real solution. The area around the hotel is not family-friendly at night, with loud bar crowds and safety concerns that are absolutely unacceptable for a Hilton-branded property. Neither Hilton nor Expedia took our safety seriously, and I would strongly caution others against booking here — especially families or solo travelers. This experience has severely affected our trust in both brands. I strongly recommend staying in Golden Square Mile or Westmount instead

The room was very clean and comfortable but I would have liked a better view. I booked specifically for the rooftop pool, which was not very well maintained and I was disappointed that the hot tubs were no longer there. Also, there were very few gluten-free breakfast options.

Front desk questions you at breakfast for proof of stay or be escorted out. Loud 6th floor bar kept children up . Dont stay on 5th floor.

The hotel was great but I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone with limited walking ability and reduced comfort in a downtown district Pros - room was huge, very clean, very good air conditioning. Breakfast was included and high quality. Great service. Cons - there is a rooftop terrace that becomes a bar at night so even on a Sunday evening there were a lot of non-guests around the hotel. Very quiet though. The area is just outside of the main tourist district, one block from a homeless shelter. Some guests may not feel comfortable walking in this area especially at night.
