Great experience at Imperial hotel! Staff are really helpful there is restaurant at the hotel which is my favorite restaurant everytime I come to Kuala Lumpur! Eeccomended for family to stay here or single trip!

Lokasi strategis, dipusat kulineran jalan Alor. Dekat ke pavilion Mall Bukit Bintang. Dekat ke stasiun MRT dan LRT. Staff hotel ramah dan membantu. Kamar bersih dan cukup luas. Harga sangat sepadan. Recommended. 👍.

About

Bukit Bintang, also nicknamed Bintang Walk or Starhill, stretches along Bukit Bintang Road, Kuala Lumpur. It is nestled in the capital metropolitan city of Malaysia’s Golden Triangle, and is the most trendy and busy shopping complex in the city. Bukit Bintang area is bordered by Sultan Ismail Road, Imbi Road, Raja Chulan Road, and Pudu Road.

Though nowadays it is home to al-fresco bars, restaurants, and cafes and mega shopping centres, Bukit Bintang area is also a huge hawker centres and is typically crowded with youngsters and tourists. The entertainment area is also host to many celebrations and parties, including Malaysian F1 Grand Prix pit stop annual party and prominent Malaysia International Fashion Week.

How to Get There

By Plane

Bukit Bintang’s nearest airport is Kuala Lumpur International Airport and the Low Cost Carrier Terminal.

By Train

To access Bukit Bintang via monorail from any other area in Kuala Lumpur, there are three monorail stations available to access different parts of the retail belt:

  • Bukit Bintang Monorail station: at the intersection of Sultan Ismail Road and Bukit Bintang Road
  • Imbi Monorail station (next to Berjaya Times Square)
  • Raja Chulan Monorail Station (connected to pedestrian walkway connecting Suria KLCC to Bukit Bintang

By bus

Below are the bus directions to go to KL Sentral:

  • From KL Sentral: Reach jalan Stesen Sentral 3 and take B112 towards Maluri. Stop at Alliance Bank (Jalan Pudu). From this point, hop on U41 towards Bandar Sungai Long. You can stop in front of Berjaya Times Square. Total cost will take RM2.00
  • From KLCC: take bus B103 towards Bukit Bintang and alight at Wisma Genting, Jalan Raja Chulan. Fare will be RM1.00. To reach Jalan Pudu from this point, you can take U35 towards Pandan Indah and stop at Berjaya Times Square for another RM1.00.
  • From KLIA and LCCT: there are direct buses to KL Sentral from KLIA to Bukit Bintang for RM10.00 or from LCCT for RM9.00. After reaching KL Sentral, you can take the buses by the route mentioned previously.

Tourist Attractions

Bukit Bintang is known for its abundant food vendors and nightlife, while it is a bustling centre for business and shopping paradise to locals and tourists alike.

Berjaya Times Square

Berjaya Times Square boasts off its 12-storey mall as the world’s 13th biggest shopping mall and the 5th world’s largest building, housing over 1,000 retail shops and large number of food outlets at its 330,000 square metre lot. To top it up, the nine-screen cinema accommodates plenty visitors, while there are even bowling alley (with 48 lanes), and archery range.

The main attraction of all, readily entertain people of all ages in Berjaya Times Square is a large indoor theme park called Cosmo’s world indoor theme park. Most remarkably, one of the thrill rides featured is Asia-Pacific’s longest indoor roller coaster of 800 metres Supersonic Odyssey.

Berjaya Times Square is open daily from 10:00 to 22:00, and located at Jalan Imbi, connected to Imbi Monorail station by footbridge.

Changkat Bukit Bintang

A more high-end choice to find upscale bars, pubs, and dining sites, Changkat Bukit Bintang might be compared to New York’s Times Square. It houses arrays of Malaysia’s popular restaurants and more in its refurbished colonial buildings. Earning nickname as ‘United Nations of Fine Dining’, Changkat Bukit Bintang has widely-known international cuisines from Japan, India, France, Italia, England, and Thai, to the less common and unique ones from Russia, Cuba, Brazil, and Lebanon. Walk during the evening around the road, and you might as well find the rather-tranquil atmosphere in daytime transforms into a lively site, especially with bustling nightlife shows at the pubs and bars, which might make you come for days just to taste every outstanding kind of cuisine and entertainment it has to offer.

Changkat Bukit Bintang is located just off Bukit Bintang Road, and may also be accessible from Alor Road. It is also within 5-minute-walk from Bukit Bintang Station.

Alor Road

Alor Road is a whole street food haven roamed by low-priced food stalls, located very close to Bintang Walk. This hawker centre is very popular among locals and tourists, selling mostly Chinese cuisines in open-air food-court style dining area with plastic tables and chairs. The food is arguably cleaner than other similar hawker centres, making it a better choice for first-timers or local cuisine lovers.

The hawker centre is much more active during evening, and is easily accessible within 5-minute-walk from Bukit Bintang station.
