숙박비도 저렴했고 조식이 완전 훌륭했어요 주변 편의점이나 식당에서 먹는 것 보다 훨씬 싸고 종류도 다양해서 잘 이용했습니다 방은 일반적인 비지니스 크기이며 강가뷰여서 오리도 볼수있고 깨끗하고 좋았어요 시티센터와도 도보로 이동 가능하여 위치적으로도 만족합니다 오크에 놀러오신다면 이곳에서 숙박하는걸 추천해요

Clean tidy room and helpful staff

Lovely hotel, perfect location - short walk along tow path to city centre. Large room and lovely bathroom. Excellent breakfast with particularly friendly staff - only one minor point is that none of the salt and pepper grinders we tried actually grind - possibly a known issue as there were sachets also available. Also witnessed that this hotel is very welcoming for dogs and has lots of things for young children to play with in the reception area.

The Novotel York Centre proved OK and average for a 4 star hotel! On a positive note ... The staff all proved delightful and enthusiastic to please us! The bar and refreshments were nice and provided a comfortable spacious area to relax and enjoy reasonably priced drinks during happy hour. The pool was exceptionally nice, clean and well managed! Breakfast was good and again the staff and service was exceptionally good! The negatives: the room did not impress us for a 4 star rated hotel. The carpets were stained in multiple area. The 'finger groove handles' on cupboard doors to access the fridge and adjacent cupboard had deep set dust in the grooves and was rather unsightly and setting a poor hygiene standard (We took photographs of these problems if required for evidence!) We did not wish to engage on complaining as we wee only there 2 nights and don't favour making a fuss whilst there! Water pressure in the sink tap was very low (obviously a reducer in place). Towels and sheets were not of 4 star quality. The car park was very expensive (but we anticipated such and travelled by train!) Otherwise, the combination of the lovely pool, nice bar and wonderful staff outweighed the identified problems and we enjoyed our stay as best we could.

Staff were really friendly at check in. Room was beautiful and clean. The thing that let it down was the bathroom as it was an accessible bathroom which wasn’t asked for or required and made it difficult for me being 6’3 due to the low sink and shower/bath configuration. Have had accessible rooms before which were done a lot better. Tv didn’t work as it kept switching itself off

Lovely hotel, great location for centre of York & Barbican. Parking £17, but is secure. Hotel staff are lovely, so us the food in the bar.

From a big beautiful clean room to the wonderful staff and the fantastic food in the restaurant, made our stay so enjoyable m, will definitely be back

We thought the hotel was great. Where the Novotel hotel is, everything you want and need is within walking distance. Again great place.

Room was modern and clean. Food was delicious but bar a bit expensive.

On check in there were 3 staff on the check in desk one was helping another customer one was playing on their phone and one was chatting. This ment checkin took longer than I could have. We confirmed that we had booked a twin room but when we got to the room it was a double (they corrected this via housekeeping). There was a toilet roll under the bed. And the booking for the swimming pool seemed strange as there were at time alot more people than there was supposed to be in it. The room was comfy and the brekfast was good. The staff were variable.

The hotel is in a great spot near the river ouse and is an easy and quick walk in to town.

Staff is well meaning / friendly, perhaps we were there on the wrong day but felt like everyone needed significant training. Rooms are pretty basic but clean

Great location and dog friendly!

Took our 10 year old granddaughter for her last visit before schools opened back .our room was large with a double sofa bed for her . The bar area was very nice. Breakfast was what we would expect and the food was nice and warm . It was raining on the Saturday night so we opted to stay in the hotel for our evening meal but have to say we were quite disappointed with the quality of the food. All the staff were really friendly and we would definitely stay again.

Had a good stay staff were friendly and pleasant food was good the only down side was that in the room everything was clean and comfortable except the bathroom which really needed sorted there was paint splashed on the door and skirting.

The lobby of the hotel was great, everything is on one floor so handy if you're disabled. None of those tiny flights of stairs. Swimming pool was fantastic. There's a great kids play room in the lobby which is handy if you want a drink and the kids to entertain themselves. The room was modern and comfortable. My only complaint is that in terms of window the whole room just had one tiny window but a pretty minor complaint. The bathroom was clean and comfortable with good hot water pressure. I would definitely come back.
