We loved our stay at Smartr Madrid Chueca. The location was easy to find and central/walkable to everything we wanted to see. The area is very lively in the afternoon and quiet, but not unsafe late at night. The staff was kind and quick to respond to any questions via WhatsApp. The place was clean and comfortable. We would book it again happily!

No tenemos quejas especiales del alojamiento salvo por el estado del sillón cama. Reservamos un apartamento para 6 personas, contando con el que dos personas dormiríamos en el sofá cama, pero el estado del mismo hacía imposible dormir en el mismo. El contacto vía WhatsApp fue deficiente, por lo que tuvimos que trasladarnos hasta la sede en Gran Vía. Allí conseguimos que nos llevaran un protector de colchón, que tampoco facilitó significativamente el uso del sofá cama. El trato del personal en sede física fue adecuado. Sin duda, el gran problema fue haber contratado un alojamiento para 6 personas que sólo era adecuado para 4.

La resolución de problemas. Pague por espacio para 5 personas y tuve que acomodarme en un espacio para 4 porque el sofá cama ofrecido estaba dañado y durante toda la semana no pudieron solucionarlo. Fue muy incómoda la estadía.
El sitio tiene muchísimo ruido ya que es un edificio de muchas personas turista y habían fiestas hasta 4 am casi todos los días por lo cual era imposible dormir.

Great location, lived the room but we had lots of issues, first with check in, it took us over an hour trying to check-in then the codes were a problem pretty much every day, staff was helpful and nice but it was very inconvenient.
They need to make check-in and easier process as we were not the only ones with the same issue, there was at least three other people with the same issue while we were there

Kitchen was fine but the "1 bedroom" apt is basically just a studio. No living room, just a bedroom with a TV and a tiny kitchen. No sofa, no living area. The entire place is super noisy, hardwood floors combined with paper thin walls so if the apt next to you is occupied, it will feel like you're in the same room with them

Notre arrivée a malheureusement commencé par une attente de plus d’1h30 avant de pouvoir accéder à l’appartement.
À notre installation, nous avons découvert que le four était hors service, information communiquée seulement après coup.
Pendant le séjour, les codes d’accès ont été modifiés sans que nous soyons avertis, ce qui a compliqué notre retour un soir.
L’appartement présente plusieurs points à améliorer : fortes odeurs provenant des canalisations dans la salle de bain, murs et rideaux tachés, traces de moisissures dans une chambre, joints de fenêtres décollés, et une porte de salle de bain difficile à ouvrir (avec un réel risque de rester coincé).
De petits manques se font aussi sentir : pas de gobelets dans la salle de bain, pas de torchon en cuisine.
L’insonorisation est très faible — on entend nettement les autres locataires — et la connexion Wi-Fi ne fonctionne correctement qu’à l’entrée, pas dans les chambres.
C’est dommage, car le logement est idéalement situé et dispose d’un bon potentiel : avec quelques réparations et un meilleur suivi des hôtes, il pourrait être une très bonne adresse.
La communication avec l’hôtel est assez bonne et rapide dommage que le buffet soit éloigné et qu’il faut récupérer tous les jours des tickets entre les deux adresses…

This property is very conveniently close to Puerta del Sol. There is no outside noise at night. It is clean. The problem appears to be poor management. The phone number is provided but it is never answered. They should make it clear that all communication will be by WhatsApp. They should make it clear that an entry code will be provided on the day of checkin. Handle of washer broken, no plug for kitchen sink, walls very thin so any noise from adjacent apartments is noticeable.
