The only issue we experienced was the number of steps to get to the reception area. Once we had registered access to the restaurant was on one level with our room. The breakfast was great and the evening meals were very good.

It's a perfectly positioned hotel opposite the.river Cam and parkland, a few minutes walk from town. My room was in alovely turret with a high view, a deep bath, a huge bed, ample space and desk. The breakfast was great. The staff responsive, unobtrusive and friendly. I had a fab stay.

The position of the hotel was really good, nice views and in an accessible location. Good transport links. Everyone at the hotel was helpful, kind and warm. Nothing was too much. The food was lovely and reasonable prices. I especially enjoyed the Salmon in white wine sauce and Prawns with seasonal veg, it was scrumptious. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is in a great location, approximately 15 minute walk to the town centre and Kings College, There is parking on site, which is payable for customers who have not booked directly through hotel website. Blue Badge holders park for free. Hang onto your parking ticket, as you'll need it to exit the barrier. All the staff were friendly and helpful and were very accommodating with installation of oxygen concentrator and tanks for my husband's use. Our large double room was spacious and clean, although there is no AC, so it was very warm, even with the window open. We took small portable fans which helped massively during the night. The continental breakfast is mainly bread/toast, pastries and fresh fruit, with ham and cheese. The shower was pretty powerful and shampoo and shower gel are provided.

Unfortunately I arrived in the evening, restaurant was closed, bar was closed at 10pm on Saturday night. Room was so hot, window closed, no fan in a Heatwave! Tv did not work and kettle was dodgy only 2 tea etc of everything, one day room was not cleaned at all, breakfast was average.

Booked in for 3 day visit, reception undermanned,,very dated, stair carpet thread bare, begining to think oops made a mistake.Entered my room the curtain was hanging off,the lampshades were stained and it was like sitting in a sauna, no aircon or fan. Asked for a refund and booked into another hotel.Good point was that they had no issue with the refund.Also if you book through a third party it's £18 a day parking. Hotel well situated, but not for me.

Nice room and location for the hotel. It was close to a lot of sites around Cambridge. We were there during a heat wave and the rooms had no air conditioning which made things super uncomfortable for sleeping.

Very disappointing experience. They forgot about me during the check in process. Carpet was thread bare n dirty in my room. And though I requested a lower floor room, I ended up on the 3rd Floor. The gentleman at the desk was very nice to help me up the stairs with my luggage though. The real issue was that the temperature in Cambridge was mid 80s. And there was no fan in the hotel to be found. How much does it cost to buy a fan for each room in a hotel??? Cold coffee at the continental breakfast. I couldn’t wait to get out of that hotel

Very poor reception staff. In a week that was the hottest on record they put me in the attic room and after requesting to move they suggest I was too hot from climbing the stairs. Requested a fan that was only given on the final day. Room they recoated me to had very poor ventilation. Do not stay in hot weather. Very poor staff service would not recommend. Plenty of other places in Cambridge that provide the minimum level of customer service.

The room smell like damp and old, but they were clean. The hotel is very close to city centre and you have free parking if you book with them direct. Check their website fisrt. Be aware of continental breakfast and is very poor, only few slices of cheese and single type of ham, nothing else to eat apart from cereals and jam. They can definetly make this better. They wanted to charge us £5.5 for a boiled egg.

Wo soll ich anfangen? Bei der Ankunft riesen Probleme, da die VISA nicht akzeptiert wurde, nach 20 Minuten endlich eine Lösung! Weg zum Zimmer, eine echt steile Treppe zum Zimmer mit Koffer, echt unangenehm! Die Beschreibung „only Bath 2“ entpuppte sich als, nur Badewanne ohne irgendeine Möglichkeit zu duschen, außer mit einem Messbescher! War aber nicht so schlimm: Seife und Duschgel gab es eh erst am dritten Tag! Continental Breakfast prinzipiell ok, aber Geschirr und Tassen nicht alle sauber. Am letzten Tag gab es zu dem noch schimmeliges Brot. Positiv: Safe auf dem Zimmer - negativ: Batterie des Safes war leer und so nicht mehr geöffnet werden konnte, nachdem Geld und Pässe drin waren. Das Management hat fast 2 Tage gebraucht das Problem zu lösen - das war dann aber top vom Hausmeister! Bei der Beschwerde zu den Themen immergrün gleiche Antwort: „The Management will contact you“ - bisher keine Reaktion!

Rooms were basically clean; carpets, bedding great. However skirting, corners, behind sink were not dusted etc. It was mentioned that they were short on staff on the information sheet in the room. Rooms needed redecorating or painting the obvious bits. Breakfast was great! Staff very helpful.
