I arrived early so was expecting to have to leave my case & come back later. I was pleasantly surprised to be checked in & handed my room key immediately. There was also the option to add breakfast when I checked in which saved a couple of pounds rather than deciding next morning…… a clever idea & well worth the £12. My room was lovely - comfortable bed & plenty of mirrors including near sockets which should be a must but surprisingly overlooked in a lot of hotels. There was a fridge too which is always a bonus. The bathroom had a bath with shower over it. I love a bath in a hotel room so I was very happy! Breakfast was good. The usual self service buffet but lots of choice & fresh. The staff I came into contact with, including in the lift were all lovely & friendly. Well done on your staff choices & training. I only stayed one night but it was the second time I’ve stayed & wouldn’t pick anywhere else next time I visit to attend a concert at City Hall. It’s just around the corner with lots of restaurants & pubs on the doorstep.

Friendly staff, very good breakfast and comfortable room. Parking at a partner property relatively close was OK though frankly road network in Sheffield is now a nightmare (make sure your satnav is up to date and just resign yourself to driving much further than line of sight!). Our bathroom was a little bit "tired" - slow basin runaway and wobbly loo seat.

Bathroom smelled badly of sewage. Next room they moved me to had a broken safe. Safe couldn't be fixed as there were only 2 staff on duty covering breakfast, reception, and everything else. This place is seriously lacking funding to run effectively.

The room was sort of clean but had clearly seen better days. The bathroom was not great. The toilet roll holder had been pulled out of the wall by a previous guest and was just hanging there. The towel rail did not work and was thick with dust, the walls were scuffed and marked for what appeared to be a long time. I like the hotel, have stayed before but they do need to sort out the rooms

The room was really noisy considering that the windows were shut and double glazed. The car park wasn’t easy to find and was further away than expected. The cold water could not be sourced from the bathroom sink as water was alway warm or hot despite running the tap in all positions. The shower head wouldn’t lock in place and had to hold the head whilst washing. The breakfast was plentiful but some items were lukewarm and the bacon was over cooked.

Great location but hotel is badly let down by poor room. We had a shower which didn’t drain therefore flooded the bathroom also the sink didn’t drain. The wardrobe was very difficult to close, the WiFi was weak so could not get connected. The decor was scruffy and we could not get the heating to work. There was a portable radiator so suspect this was a previous issue. Very disappointed overall as you can guess. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok

Had an incredibly comfortable and peaceful stay in a very pleasant well equipped room. Delicious bed, good shower and plenty of hot water. No noise from the street despite it being a busy central area near everything one could need. Foyer, bar and public areas were welcoming and stylish. Staff incredibly helpful.

We had no issue at all with the air conditioning and it’s possible to have the window open slightly as well. There are plenty of shops nearby being right in the city centre and a vast choice of bars/restaurants within minutes.

The breakfast was a bit pricy so we ate elsewhere. There was background fan noise in our room (not AC) but although I am a noise sensitive person it was OK. Apart from that the stay was absolutely brilliant. We love the hotel and will be back again. The staff were very obliging and the hotel is good value yet has high quality. Thank you . We have no hesitation to make a very positive recommendation.

Staff are very friendly. I had to leave early on the last day and they were happy to supply paper bags so I could bring my breakfast with me. There are a few stains on the carpet but otherwise very clean. I have a larger car so I couldn't use the nearby car park as it has a 1.8 height restriction

Clean modern and spacious room, unfortunately being woken by the tram rattling past continuously from early morning to late into the night wasn’t appreciated. Also the interior door being banged shut so many times during my stay that I woke up multiple times each night. Reception staff (a man with Chinese heritage) when asked if I had closed my door properly by just closing it over and not having to scan the card to exit, looked me up and down and pulled the most unhelpful face, exclaiming simply “Yeah” so unfriendly, unprofessional and discourteous. However the man at checkout and woman at check in were friendly and polite, so maybe just one person who seems to need some refresher training on the reception desk. Overall wouldn’t stay again 2/5 at best. Better hotels available in Sheffield.

Staff are unfriendly, bar was unstaffed and took 10-15 minutes to get a drink when there was no other people in the bar, when room cleaning sign was left on door room didn’t get cleaned, when opted to not have room cleaned was left a 5 pound voucher but then the card was taken from the door, wasn’t told about works being done on the water through the day resulting in no water, and after the works the water pressure dropped significantly so shower was rubbish, and no hot water for rest of that day.

The cold water could not be sourced from the bathroom sink as water was alway warm or hot despite running the tap in all positions. The shower head wouldn’t lock in place and had to hold the head whilst washing. The breakfast was plentiful but some items were lukewarm and the bacon was over cooked.

Great location but hotel is badly let down by poor room. We had a shower which didn’t drain therefore flooded the bathroom also the sink didn’t drain. The wardrobe was very difficult to close, the WiFi was weak so could not get connected. The decor was scruffy and we could not get the heating to work. There was a portable radiator so suspect this was a previous issue. Very disappointed overall as you can guess. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok

Had an incredibly comfortable and peaceful stay in a very pleasant well equipped room. Delicious bed, good shower and plenty of hot water. No noise from the street despite it being a busy central area near everything one could need. Foyer, bar and public areas were welcoming and stylish. Staff incredibly helpful.

We had no issue at all with the air conditioning and it’s possible to have the window open slightly as well. There are plenty of shops nearby being right in the city centre and a vast choice of bars/restaurants within minutes.

The breakfast was a bit pricy so we ate elsewhere. There was background fan noise in our room (not AC) but although I am a noise sensitive person it was OK. Apart from that the stay was absolutely brilliant. We love the hotel and will be back again. The staff were very obliging and the hotel is good value yet has high quality. Thank you . We have no hesitation to make a very positive recommendation.

Staff are very friendly. I had to leave early on the last day and they were happy to supply paper bags so I could bring my breakfast with me. There are a few stains on the carpet but otherwise very clean. I have a larger car so I couldn't use the nearby car park as it has a 1.8 height restriction

Clean modern and spacious room, unfortunately being woken by the tram rattling past continuously from early morning to late into the night wasn’t appreciated. Also the interior door being banged shut so many times during my stay that I woke up multiple times each night. Reception staff (a man with Chinese heritage) when asked if I had closed my door properly by just closing it over and not having to scan the card to exit, looked me up and down and pulled the most unhelpful face, exclaiming simply “Yeah” so unfriendly, unprofessional and discourteous. However the man at checkout and woman at check in were friendly and polite, so maybe just one person who seems to need some refresher training on the reception desk. Overall wouldn’t stay again 2/5 at best. Better hotels available in Sheffield.

Staff are unfriendly, bar was unstaffed and took 10-15 minutes to get a drink when there was no other people in the bar, when room cleaning sign was left on door room didn’t get cleaned, when opted to not have room cleaned was left a 5 pound voucher but then the card was taken from the door, wasn’t told about works being done on the water through the day resulting in no water, and after the works the water pressure dropped significantly so shower was rubbish, and no hot water for rest of that day.
