Car parking is a issue

Rooms were really small. Less than 200 sq feet. That should be on the website. Other than that it was fabulous.

Hallways were musty, 5th floor hallways smelled very bad due to excess humidity and location of the pool. Was out all day and nobody cleaned the room.

Pros: Absolutely the location is the best! Literally walking distance or easy transit from a to b. We walked everywhere with a 3&4 year old.Makes up for the other less fortunate parts of this hotel. Staff were super helpful! Called front desk for more of many things as a family of 4 required extra towels and coffee and they came to the door within minutes! They held the elevator as we had a double wide stroller and a handful. Cons: luck of the draw but kids running around being behind disrespectful, yelling, leaving garbage in hallways and crumbs. Not the hotels fault but a huge nuisance with young kids at 11pm. Rooms: super small even though sleeps 4. No room for anything. We only had a few bags and a large stroller so if you had luggage not sure where it would go? Travelling with kids and a huge stroller for storage was a challenge- had to be folded and always in the way. We spent our days out so luckily we weren’t in the room often but we are 2 adults and 2 kids and it was cramped. Beds: not comfortable, and a tiny double? Pool: not the cleanest, no towels and stairs were extremely slippery ( poor design flaw) also no necessarily the staffs fault. We had a double room and would have loved a view- so be sure to ask for an outside view of the terrace or city side. (We also didn’t know what the exterior window would be facing) Parking: awful! Just save the hassle and park across the street at the Rideau Centre Parking. Easier, safer and super easy access.

We hadden pech eerste dag met regen dus moesten we in bar vertoeven. Daar gastvrij ontvangen en lekker gegeten. Lokatie is top tov centrum van ottawa. Ontbijt heerlijk.

Child friendly

Buffet breakfast was great with a good selection of hot food (sausages, egg, pancake,beans) salad and cheese, bakery (chocolate croissant, plain croissant, muffin, toasts), yoghurt and cereal, juice, coffee and tea and a couple choices of fruits. Check in and check out was simple, loved the warm cookies. Room was a little small but bed and linen were comfortable. Swimming pool wasn’t managed that well, there was no towels and the water was really cold. The pool is extremely small and was packed with people. Location was great, 15 mins walk to Parliment hill. Plenty of food nearby and only 8 mins walk to by market area. Packing is a bit expensive $33 per day (multi entry) Overall good experience and would stay again

Good hotel overall, but the parking situation definitely needs improvement.A stronger version with more impact: The hotel itself was good. Everything was okay with the stay, and I have no major complaints about the room or service. However, the parking is a serious downside. It is managed by a greedy third-party company, and charging $76 for two nights is ridiculous. Really? For guests already paying to stay at the hotel, this feels unfair and excessive. Overall, the hotel is fine, but the parking situation leaves a bad impression.

There was a small issue that I brought up with the front desk. They looked into the issue and it was resolved by the time we returned later in the day. The buffet breakfast was very good, nice selection I tried one of the omelets it was very tasty. Did not try pool or fitness center. Very close to shopping (Rideau Center) and Byward market area. Only a 10min walk to the Parliament Buildings, Rideau Canal and O-train stop.

Everything about the hotel suited our needs. The room was great; the location was ideal, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this hotel to others.

We really enjoyed our stay, despite the seemingly endless vehicle-revving on the street below. Motor cycles and cars seem to have a non-stop competition to see who is loudest. That is not the hotel's fault but it was disturbing. Be cautious in the shower because the water occasionally surges hot and cold. I reported that and was assured that maintenance would be informed. Less important is the fact that the dispensing pumps on the toiletry products are extremely inefficient. We had to take them out to get the fluid out. BUT...we would definitely return. The staff were lovely and the dining room/bar was excellent.
