Comfortable stay, staff friendly

Walking into the lobby you may become excited (I sure was) until I was told that I was not staying here but in fact in the building next to it. Going up the elevator the hallway to our room was dark and felt as if we were going to get murdered, our room being no better,the rooms are joint by a window, only some of the locks work and the second rooms door is glass leaving my friend with no privacy. We were welcomed by a messy room, with used pimple patches on the counter, weird stains, and a smell that made everyone sick. We ended up buying wipes in order to feel more comfortable cleaning every surface. This place is not bad if you need a cheap place to get drunk but from the pictures presented, I am not pleased

Room was very dirty. I had changed rooms but it was very noisy. It got limited sleep because of the pub across the road and the tram line. I also left my headphones in my first room. I offered a cash reward to get these back unfortunately these were not returned to me. I got minimal help from reception and was told to make a police report would not stay again.

The photos of the rooms are not even similar to what we got. The listing promises a couch or sofa in every apartment, we didn’t get one so we had no where to really sit together and only 3 dining chairs for a booking for 5 people. The pool was freezing and the smell on the pool/gym level was unpleasant. Only one lift was working which lead to long waits for a busy building.

Clean and tidy apartment. Friendly and easy check in. Had to wait a while for lift as only one working. Paid tram at the door or walk two blocks to the free tram zone. One block walk to supermarket. Recommend if on a budget.

We stayed in the four bedroom apartment. The room and furnishings are older but clean and tidy, a great price and a perfect fit for our group of 8. Within easy walking of numerous pubs, cafes, restaurants and the market, as well as being on the tram line. Would definitely stay again.

This property needs a good clean/freshen up/maintenance. Hallways and rooms smell of smoke and cooking. Rooms are very small, no privacy as a shutter from main room to lounge where son was sleeping feel down. Frosted glass window between single room and double room. Single room also had frosted glass door. One person could move around at a time. An odd mix of glasses, one was a McDonalds glass, not even enough for all of us. A step up from a hostel, just don’t expect too much.

Very convenient location - train station is just outside door.

The room conditions were okay, but the kitchenette stovetop was non-functional and hot water in the baths had stopped working properly after our second night there. Housekeeping also came and took our towels and didn’t replace them, causing us to have to come down to the reception to ask for it manually; something that wouldn’t be much of a problem except for the fact that we weren’t provided instructions on how to operate the (what I assume is an) intercom and thus had to look to using the elevators. Only one elevator was functional, and on our second day it completely stopped working when we got back from our activities, causing us to walk up 7-8 flights of stairs to reach our room. Overall, placement in the city, while convenient, doesn’t justify the conditions of the building very much. Additionally considering our room was in a separate building from the reception, and were told by other residents that the pool “had a layer of scum building up on it”, would look to other alternatives for future travel.

Location good Poor check in. Took 3 attempts to get the correct room. Mismatch of bedding, uncomfortable, doona's too small for the bed. Cockroaches in the kitchen

It has a good location to city and public transport, however the room and hallways had an unpleasant smell, and I wouldn’t say that the cleaner had any attention to detail. However you do get what you pay for. It was a cheap hotel so for the price we paid 4.8/5. But really it was confusing to get around, lifts were slow, the hotel dirty and noisy.

A series of problems with the room. Including no couch in the lounge room! and a missing dining chair. Another was broken. The space smelt very bad as a griller had been left on maximum heat in the apartment before we checked in and stank out the room with smoke but we couldn't get a replacement space. They didn't have a space to put us in as an alternative, as we were a family. The concierge was lovely but the stay was really disappointing.

Central to shops and trams Room unfortunately was nit what we expected

This was advertised as a PREMIUM apartment. The photos looked fine, average reviews were fine. What we got was NOT what was advertised. --- This property is a SCAM! --- Upon entry, there is a foul smell like musty old carpets. The carpets are ripped in multiple places. The chairs have ripped fabric. The curtains have rips and holes. The bed bases are ripped and torn. We didn't do a bed bug check but in retrospect should have (tip, if there's an iron, run it along the edge of the bed. Bed bugs will be cooked and show up). The bathroom mirror was filthy, zero effort in cleaning. There was a used toothbrush on the floor. The toilet did not flush after the first use. This is a health department violation. The deck was covered with a tarp. I have no idea why or what for. The closet was home to the most skanky nasty portable cot I have ever seen. It was probably harvested from street-side rubbish. The mattress was ripped, stained, aged, and I wouldn't let my pets sleep on it as they'd get fleas or bed bugs or a venereal disease. The reception room is not manned, and a visual inspection shows it's used as a rubbish storage room. Phoning management is the worst experience. They simply lie, spin excuses such as "we're upgrading", and refuse to offer refunds or room changes based on "the manager is not here for a few days". All while staring at you through their curtains from the ground floor unit adjacent to the rear car park.

The property was clean, quiet and a good value for money too !

We booked a room for 3 people. I rang two days before confirming the sofa bed would be made up when we arrived and was told it would be. Not only was the bed not made, the room was much to small for 3 people and 2 suitcases. We stayed the one night and checked out the next morning as the property could not provide a larger room.

Good location just above town. Easy access to tram outside hotel lobby. Well equipped kitchenette though a peeler and a can opener would have made it perfect. Comfy bed. Nice to be able to open windows up wide. Bathroom fan was noisy and there was a bit of noise from the street below. Suited our budget.

Nice area, great staff, fabulous parking so close to city

This hotel was disgusting and uncomfortable. The room smelled musty, the surfaces were sticky, and the bathroom had mold and stained fixtures. Even though the stairs were guarded, they were still extremely steep and dangerous—especially for kids. The whole place felt poorly maintained, and we were so unhappy that we had to leave and find another hotel. Definitely not a place I’d recommend.
