Mantra on Hay Perth

Was well to our accommodation really enjoyed our holiday stay

When we arrived there was no parking (i was sure this was booked when booking was made) both toilets did not work. Maintenance came and repaired one semi, it leaked on the bathroom floor constantly. the exhaust fan was hanging out of the roof. There was rubbish on the balcony. I asked for a new room or discount and was offered a small discount which i still have not seen 4 days later??

Hotel was quiet and close to everything Perth has to offer

Everything was we expected and we used laundry, etc. All good. Excellent location.

Certainly no value for money. Not even any milk in the fridge

Just a bit old place and required good TLC. Swimming pool is not heated as per hotel description. Good location and clean but was not smelling nice. House keeping once a week. Staff very friendly and very helpful. It ok for night but not for longer stay

The iron wasn’t any good and I had to ask several times to get it replaced. The replacement wasn’t any good either and I ended up wrecking two business shirts! I expected more from a big hotel group. The room wasn’t that clean as dust was around the skirting and the bathroom didn’t look clean. The kitchen surface hadn’t been wiped and there was rubbish in one of the bins

This Mantra is a bit of a let down for the brand name and the building and rooms desperately need refurbishing. There were large holes in the ceiling, and the room was had a strong smell of detergent.

Kitchen seems a bit greasy and the carpet seems a bit dusty

The reception staff is efficient and friendly. Room decor is dated and gives a somewhat run down feeling. Power outlets are mostly at foot level - not particularly senior-friendly as I had to stoop to connect. In my room the newer of the two air conditioners give out warm air but does not stop even though the desired temperature is reached. I had to use the older air conditioner which fortunately worked well and quietly enough, but the air filter needs cleaning. There is a power bar for the hot water pot and toaster which strangely sits on the trash bin because the cable is not long enough. That’s not quite professional. Note: I couldn’t add more than one photo as Expedia says my two photos exceeds the size limit (very strange indeed!)

First of all, there is no porter to help if you have lots of bags. Second when I went to get the bag trolley it had flat tyres. So I went to the other 2 trolleys and they had flat tyres. Honestly for the money you would be better staying at a place charging you $200 more for the convenience. It’s not about porters and trolleys. Think about it

Big apartment, quiet, well equipped

Great location, friendly helpful staff, we had the 2 bedroom apartment which was perfect. Would have been even better of parking was included, byt that was not a major deal breaker.

ASK ABOUT CONSTRUCTION WORK NEXT DOOR it would have been nice to be advised that construction was next door as the jack hammers were from 8am to 4pm - all day every day (5 day stay) The service at the front counter on departure is an issue I asked a question re lost and found - the assistant had no idea and would ask anyone and simply said no. Did not care
