YEHS Hotel Sydney Harbour Suites

Was a very unexpected great experience at YEHS Hotel and their staff. Great location if you’re a tourist. You are within close walking distance to Harbor.

Very disappointed with the accommodation. Felt like I was misled by the room description. Was led to believe that the bedroom was separate from kitchen. Had too much furniture in small space. Couldn’t watch Tv from the couch as it faced away from tv. Tv needs updating as unable to use streaming services. Cables hanging loose from tv. Bed was so hard. Even doubling up doonas to sleep on did not help

Not many tv channels. 1 double PowerPoint didn’t work at all. Hot water in shower cuts out.

We booked specifically for the indoor pool and spa and were noticed 2 weeks prior to our stay that it would be under construction and unable. With such late notice and busy week in the city with Vivid we had no other options in our price point. Several items in the room were not functioning and things like body wash and shampoo dispensers were empty. The whole place has a feel of being in process of remodel and everything being done as minimal and cheap as possible.

Staff were excellent to deal with. Room Ready for makeover particularly in bathroom and kitchen. Very tired worn joinery and broken tiles. Not advised pool out of action.

A spacious one bedroom unit. An older building, but has all the features you need. Very central. Short walk to town hall trains . Walk over a overbridge to Darling Harbour.

The staff is great

Excellent location. Good value. Probably could do with updating. Staff really helpful.

Cabinet door in our room 106 at 1st flr is damage including cabinet door in lavatory restroom is also damage. We stayed last January at the. Upper flr and that room has a cover door with mirror.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. It is Central to everything, walking distance to parks, museums, shopping and restaurants. The staff are lovely and welcoming. The rooms are a little older, but have everything you need. I will definitely stay here again.

We have stayed in hundreds of hotels and serviced apartments and this hotel is by far the worst experience we have ever had at any property. The unit we were given was generally in rather poor condition due to a lack of maintenance. The floor was filthy, the drawers and shelves appeared to have not been cleaned or even dusted for months, and in general, the entire unit can only be described as tattered and dirty. Since we only booked two nights, we decided to just wipe down the drawers and shelves and make do. When we returned to our room at around 5 PM the next day, it was filled with obnoxious fumes that immediately gave us headaches and watery eyes. We complained and were told that he hotel was completely booked and that the fumes were a result of sealants applied on floors above. As we sat in the lobby, we heard another guest also complain about the fumes. We demanded that they move us to a different hotel. Ultimately, they showed us another room that was much smaller and didn't have the amenities we paid for including kitchen and washer and dryer. We were told we would have to stay there, but without even a partial refund. We refused. Ultimately, we were given a comparable unit on a lower floor that was not permeated with fumes. We had to throw all our belonging into suitcases and laundry bags to move everything quickly out of our original room. We were miserable and management obviously lied to us about the hotel being fully booked. Avoid this hotel!!!!!

Was given the wrong room, was given a double bed instead of 2 singles even though property had confirmed my request. Was told I’d get the right room the next day. Had to check out 10am of wrong room and was told I’d have to wait until 3pm to check in to right room (staying 4 nights total). No compensation for mix up. Went to book an airport shuttle, was refused as it was past the booking time - no mention of cut off times on any advertisement. Upgrades taking place in hotel, only one lift in operation and construction workers using the same lift. Was a very disappointing stay, front reception desk very rude and condescending, will not stay again.

This was a perfect stay for our time in Sydney. Prior to our cruise, it is very essentially located. Everything is very walkable. If you do need to go outside of the central Sydney area, then there are trains and buses and ubers. But honestly, we'd walked most of the area. You could walk to circular quay into the rocks and other areas from the hotel. Everything is so very close and we did use a ferry and an uber to get to and from the torongo zoo. Go by Uber in comeback by ferry. It will drop you off in circular q u a y. The room was very comfortable with a mini kitchenette and a great balcony to look over the city. Check out was a little early at 10 AM. But it was fine. We ended up leaving and going to the cruise terminal in was able to get on board even an hour early! Look forward to coming back and staying on our return trip!

Will not be booking the hotel again. It was a poor experience from the beds nearly unsleepable, construction being done , bags of linen and cleaning products outside the lifts you have to manoeuvre past. Flat out disappointing, not a great place to stay highly recommend to anyone reviewing to look somewhere else.

Great compact and clean room that had everything I needed. Enjoyed my stay and would stay again there. Friendly staff as well.
