Alda Hotel Reykjavik

The front desk staff was awesome. The could not do more to make your stay more wonderful. They went out of their way to make you feel invited. They fill every one of our requests. Great location! Highly recommend!

Friendly and helpful front desk staff. The in-room coffee was actually pretty good, although there is also a Starbucks on the ground floor. Great location, easy walk to shops and restaurants. Amenities include a hot tub and gym, although I didn’t use either. No on-site parking and on-street parking can be pricey if you don’t search for the cheaper spots. You’ll definitely need the parking apps to figure this out. Beds were super comfy. Only issue with the room was there was some debris under the desk but not a big deal. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Perfect location perfect property for our week in Iceland.

Great, central location. The hotel restaurant and adjacent Starbucks are great pluses. The manager (with red hair) went above and beyond to explain tours with us. She has the greatest personality and disposition which helped a lot when planning our trips during our first trip to Iceland.

This hotel was perfect for our family's stay in Reykjavik. Location is fantastic, rooms were clean and comfortable.

Can’t go wrong with this hotel - location, staff (especially Violeta and Grace, who made our stay even more special), amenities and breakfast were all outstanding. The room was clean and spacious, and the amazing shower felt great after a long day exploring.

We (family of four, 2 kids under 13), had an outstanding stay at Alda Hotel in Reykjavik and would absolutely return. The location is hard to beat—right in the heart of the city and within easy walking distance to major sights, great restaurants, bars, and shopping. It made exploring Reykjavik incredibly convenient, whether we were heading out for a quick coffee or a full day of sightseeing. Our room was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out. Everything felt well-maintained and true to what we expected when booking, which is always appreciated. The staff really stood out. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and quick to help with anything we needed. Whether it was answering questions, offering recommendations, or assisting with small requests, they were consistently prompt and professional. One thing to note is parking. Since the hotel is located in a very popular and central district, finding a nearby spot can sometimes be a bit challenging. Be prepared for a short walk, especially if you have luggage. That said, it’s a small trade-off for being in such a prime location. Overall, Alda Hotel delivered a fantastic experience—great location, comfortable accommodations, and excellent service. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Reykjavik

The breakfast served healthy and delicious options and the coffee was good. Staff was warm, friendly, and helpful. I will stay here again and give it a high recommendation.
