DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station

Great location, close to central station but very quiet. The room unfortunately not very clean, bits and pieces of rubbish under the bed and corner of the room. Reception was very busy and don’t find that very welcoming from the staff.

We had 2 nights in Amsterdam before boarding a cruise, and this hotel was the perfect place to rest and recover from our long flight, and explore the city. The room was very clean and comfortable, and had amazingly quiet (really good soundproofing). Everything in the room was easy to use and worked great!

Amazing stay at the double tree in Amsterdam! I can’t recommend this place more! Very convenient location close to the train as well as downtown. Amenities were very sufficient as well! Beautiful restaurants, beautiful room, pre check in luggage storage, comfortable bedding, and amazing staff! Our favorite part was being offered a warm chocolate chip cookie from one of the sweetest staff members ever- every time we’d walk in the door. We would giggle every time but the small things like that made our experience.

Fantastic hotel. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was AMAZING, as was our lunch on day 1. The rooftop bar was a great vibe for a quick drink before heading out, and reasonably priced. We had the accessible room as my husband is a wheelchair user and there was plenty of space in both the room and the bathroom to navigate using his wheelchair. Bed was super comfy. Usually struggle to sleep well on our first night in a hotel bed, but high quality pillows and a window that opened meant a great nights sleep The hotel is ideally placed to get around all the sights and the concierge team were really helpful in suggesting pls es to eat.

The service in the bar was poor each time we were in there. There were enough staff but they did not seem to operate as a team, so everything took ages, even though it was not especially busy.

A great Central place to stay to visit tourist attractions. Appreciated the choc chip cookies upon arrival. When leaving we made a couple of comments to reception which were received well. 1. The cooked breakfast was cold as the plates were cold and also the food. 2. We had order drinks from the bar, the bar attendant took the order then proceeded to chat for ages with a blonde at the bar and was still talking to her after I visited the loo and STILL no drinks. We left and mentioned this to him upon leaving. Other than that the hotel was good.

Excellent location in centre of town.

Good location. Walking distance to main attractions and Viking ship terminal. Room was small

room and bath were always clean, plenty of towels and soap shampoo etc,

They’ve cleaned up the property quite a bit. The elevators are slow a couple been out of order for a long time they should fix that. My room was fabulous with the balcony but just too many cruise ship passengers. They need to figure out a way to check in regular people instead of having to wait behind 50 very old people. The lobby is just too crowded. They need to do a pre-check-in or something. Other than that, it’s OK if you don’t mind waiting in long lines.

Location by the train station was awesome. Easy access to downtown Amsterdam and great restauarants.

Excellent concierge staff, good restaurants on premise and nearby. Big rooms. Rooms were dimly lit and lacked dressers is the only complaint. The accessible bathroom in-room was very large. Also had an adjustable bed. Good value for what you get for the money

A real shame. Not worth the money We are normally loyal Hilton customers, preferring to stay at their hotels when we travel. We normally stay at hotels 2-3 times per month. The room rate is £435 per night for a family room, a king size bed and two bunk beds. Location wise it’s perfect - right next to Centraal Station but that’s the best bit of the hotel. The room was extremely dark with the only windows looking onto an internal atrium. The air conditioning makes a lot of noise but doesn’t change the actual temp below 20 degrees Celsius (despite is saying 17 on the thermostat. We tried the setting both with and without the slither of a window open. The EDN restaurant in the ground floor is nice. The food was varied and not bad value £120 for a family of 4 including a bottle of wine. If you wanted to sleep past 7am however forget it. The cleaning staff have their store room/office opposite our room (Room 311). Everyone who enters or exits the staff room just let the door slam shut every 5 minutes waking us up and probably the whole corridor. This has continued from 7am until 7pm, EVERY day. So much for a restful holiday. We ordered room service on two occasions, on separate days using the online website. The order was easy with a good selection of items. You can pay with card at the time of ordering or charge the cost to your room. I paid on card both times. A lengthy investigation followed to prove I paid as the reception didn’t believe me. Be careful if you order!

Convenient location, massive hotel, big size room and fantastic roof to bar

Excellent modern hotel in central Amsterdam n five minutes walk from central train station. It’s typical American style like a Sheraton. Not a lot of charm or character. Rooms are little small but perfectly comfortable for very expensive Amsterdam. Can walk to most places of interest in under thirty minutes. Recommend !

We stayed one night. Check in was excellent; staff were very helpful, room met all our needs. Couldn’t have asked for more.

The concierge was helpful about where to go and what we wanted. They even called our river cruise to see if we could board early
