Manila Hotel is the place to stay if you plan on spending the day visiting the museums. Generally the epitome of top notch service, but I hate to say that the breakfast staff is one step below my experiences for over a decades worth of stays there. This is not a note to complain about service, it’s just a comment that the best isn’t as good as they used to be.

The room was awful and very dirty. The carpet was dingy, stain, you can see cuts of improvement. The windows, behind headboard was dirty, dusty and hair, toilet area was very nasty, phone next to toilet had stains and the room was 14 cel was very cold. They couldn’t fix the temperature. This Manila Hotel is overrated and overpriced because it’s historic.

It was the pool which was disappointing. It was also a health club so sometimes you use the pool until noon as it was full of very loud children
The staff by the pool were not that attentive.
The champagne bar restaurant was excellent. Breakfast very mediocre.
