We stayed at the hotel for a week and the location was amazing. Close to MRT and all the attractions we had planned. The staff were accommodating and although we didn't require much they were happy to help. Booked through this site and they offered us an upgraded room on a higher floor, so views were nice. The room is very tiny and we weren't able to move around much, but that is common in these types of hotels in Singapore, so we knew before we got there. Hotel is very basic and has no dining options, but we were 1 stop away from Chinatown and hawker centres so we wouldn't have eaten there anyway. There are tons of restaurants on the river front all within walking distance as well. Would recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget. Hotels in Singapore are quite expensive and not as good a value as some other Asian countries, so don't compare, but if you want to stay in Singapore, this is a great place to stay and would definitely stay here again next time we come.

Nice hotel for a million budget in Singapore, recommended. The clark quay river view environment is nice, clean and close to the MRT, forget the name, about 300 mtr, even closer than the MRT Clark quay, this is important because everywhere we use the MRT besides walking. Have a good vacation.

For a hotel that accommodates three people in the Merbau Road area, I only found this Robertson. The room is very small for three people. Furthermore, the distance to everywhere is a bit tiring. It's not a district area like Orchard Road or Business Road. But, what can I say? Singapore is indeed short on land, so just enjoy it.

The room was super small, it’s so different from the picture. I booked the room for 3 people but there was barely any space for us to move around. The toilet has no bidet, the bed was as hard as rock, the aircon is central so you can't control the temperature, no bidet in the toilet, no towel provided, no water provided, the windows cannot be opened. Location is not strategic at all, too far from MRT station (Clarke Quay). Overall bad experience. Will never stay here again.

I checked in on afternoon of Christmas Eve. No one manning the Front Desk for good 10 minutes as hotel staff was busy taking Christmas pictures. Went down to Front Desk at 6pm to request for 1 extra towel. Front Desk asked me to come back at 9pm to get towel as all towels are in the laundry. Next morning, 20minutes before required check-out time, Housekeeping was knocking loudly at my room door several times. Housekeeping was speaking loudly and rudely in Mandarin, I couldn't understand what she was saying. I assume she wanted me to checkout immediately.

Bed need to be changed, uneven and uncomfortable. Room too small. Air condition coldness cannot be controlled, be prepared to be chilled like in the refrigerator.

Staffs are very friendly. The hotel is near the central area, it’s easy to travel to another place.

room was clean, staff friendly, location short walking distance to Fort Canning Station, in business area so rather quiet but still with convenience stores nearby. room and bathroom small, might be a challenge to maneuvere if you are of big sized and if you bring big luggages. but suitable and convenient for short business trip.

The hotel is conveniently located, close to public transport (bus station, Fort Canning train station), restaurants, supermarkets. The receptionists are attentive and enthusiastic in assisting when needed. The rooms are reasonably priced, with all the basic amenities, carefully cleaned and clean.
