Excellent location! I will always stay there whenever I come to London

I will totally stay here again! Fantastic location, up-to-date, clean, pleasant staff, reasonably priced, convenient and easy walking distance to Covent Garden, Leicester Square, the National Gallery, even St Paul's Cathedral.

A great hotel from the moment we were met by the concierge in top hat Until we left. My only problem is that I like a firmer pillow and as they were feathery I could not get in a comfy sleeping position, but thats a personal thing. All in all a wonderful hotel.

Stayed for a night in one of the single rooms, perfectly adequate, nicely cool to escape the heat, comfortable bed. Shower may be a struggle if you are tall

As always the hotel was fabulous. Staff were very attentive and polite. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Would recommend it to anyone.

Great location! The hotel room was efficient and spotlessly clean. However, the espresso/coffee maker had no instructions, operated poorly and overflowed a small demitasse cup due to a large cup not fitting under the spout. One of three elevators stopped working the second day into our 4 day stay which created long queue lines during breakfast and checkout time. There was a good assortment of continental breakfast items but the hot items were lukewarm and the multi-function espresso/coffee machine had long lines and frequent malfunctions.

It was my wife’s 72nd birthday celebration so we spent Saturday night at the Strand Palace. The whole weekend was wonderful especially because the hotel presented my wife with a birthday card, chocolates a balloon in the shape of “72” and other freebies. The staff and the service in general was excellent. We had a drink on the house in the bar… I felt the hotel went above and beyond. I would definitely recommend.

Staff members were friendly, professional and helpful. I chose the smallest room type but it was comfortable and had everything I needed. The location was excellent.

Lovely hotel, very comfy bed, perfectly placed for our trip to London to see a show at Somerset House.

Trying to check in is a joke stood there for over 30 minutes. A lady first tried. Her English wasn't very good and didn't understand what I had said. She gave up. I went to the side feeling very distressed and humiliated. Then I went back and got a different person and he sorted it out. I then had to pay 60 pounds more than what had been stated and this wasn't for breakfast we didn't want any. This was a theatre and museums trip for my daughter. First trip in a very long time. Saved up for this for a treat for her. We had a superior king with view. The shower screen hadn't been cleaned or maintained. It looked dirty. You pay for a good room. You would expect it to be very good. The rest of the room looked clean and well maintained. The bed was lovely and comfortable. Coffee machine, kettle. Pods, milk and tea. Towels lovely and plenty and changed daily. It's a excellent place for the museums and travelling about. I have read about this charging extra from someone else maybe the management need to look into this. You need to feel you can trust a place you are staying in and not looking out for extra charges on everything else. The only nice greetings we had was the two different door men and a cleaning lady.

The staff were efficient and friendly. The doormen and the porters were always eager to help and greet you (shoutout to Mohammed the porter for being excellent). The breakfast buffet were good and had a nice variety. The location was excellent and very central to restaurants and shopping, as well as several tube stations. The air conditioning left something to be desired and didn’t go down below 21°C the entire time we were there, despite being set to 19°. The rooms are on the smaller side and the shower was cramped (if you are over 6’, you might find it claustrophobic) The gym was small too, with only a few machines. Overall it met our needs and for the price, the location couldn’t be beat.

Great value for central London, comfortable room, and friendly staff.

The hotel is on the older side and although the lobby and the reception area look nice, the room itself is not as nice and on the small side. I had a king deluxe studio and described as for 3 people, it barely fits the two of us. The bed is the best feature because it’s big and comfortable! But there wasn’t any desk, table, or chair for me to sit and work on my laptop. I had to do that on the bed. I didn’t have a view of any kind. The reception tried to pull a fast one on me by assigning me a twin room, which is even smaller. So watch out for that. The shower soap dispenser kept on falling off, absolutely no counter space in the bathroom. The faucet knob for the cold water is broken, I informed housekeeping and it was never fixed. The hotel is very centrally located in the theatre’s district and walking distance to everything. That’s good if you like people watching because it is very crowded around here. Oh yes, housekeeping staff is very loud, constantly talking in the hallway and their supply room is next to our room so we constantly hear banging and dropping things, very disruptive especially when we were trying to sleep. The lifts were very slow, small, and always full. There wasn’t a time that I could get in the whole time that I was there. I had to take the stairs, which was fine if I didn’t have large luggage to carry. The main 3 lifts in the lobby, one was always out of commission. That’s why my rating can’t be high for this hotel.
