Strand Palace was the perfect hotel for my solo trip to London! It was conveniently located, close to Covent Garden, National Gallery, tube, and Thames. The hotel is well maintained and very clean. My room was small but had all the amenities I needed (iron, soap/shampoo, lotion). Other things I liked: -Plenty of outlets, and even a US outlet - Water refill station on every floor -Comfy blanket -Can leave your luggage at hotel -Nice pressure in the showers The only hiccup was I stayed on the 7th floor and on several days the lift did not stop on my floor and I had to take the stairs.

Poor light & sound insulation in classic single. No door to bathroom, no blinds in bathroom. External light shines into room all night, day light from 0530, bring an eye mask if light sleeper, was informed all classic singles are same. Other than that, very nice hotel, great staff, centrally located.

Perfect hotel in central London! Easily accessible by Tube and walkable to many major landmarks. Room was just the right size for me, especially because I spent most of my days out of the room. The air conditioning was very appreciated during the current heat wave in the UK/Europe. The bathroom appears to be recently updated and was clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again

The room was small but very clean. The shower was great. The staff at check in were wonderfully helpful. We especially loved the friendly and helpful doormen. My only complaint was a very rude front desk clerk who rudely told me “we don’t post” when I asked her if she could please put our post card in the mail. The location is perfect near attractions and restaurants. Will stay here again.

For a large hotel popular with tourists, the Strand Palace continues to deliver excellent service. I haven’t stayed in a while, but the welcome from all staff was warm and genuine. They asked me where I wanted to stay (lower or higher up the hotel - I chose higher). The room itself was a decent size, in excellent condition and very clean. Unusual to have a bathroom with a window! Nice touches included a complimentary bar of chocolate and re-usable water bottles - that can be filled at water stations on every floor. The old girl’s looking good. It was nice to be back.

Arrived early were told our room would be ready at two an hour earlier than expected was ready just before five two hours after it was meant to be, had messaged ahead to say it was my wife’s birthday and told the staff at the desk, last year on her birthday they were brilliant this time nothing, went for a drink in the bar in the Evening was told to sit and someone would take our order, waited and waited until in the end we would have been late for our meal so we left, this is a lovely hotel but you are just a number, it’s summer and it’s busy so they have no interest in individual needs
