We booked the cheapest double but paid £30 to upgrade on check in. The hotel is huge and it was much more grand than I was expecting. The room was still the smallest I think I’ve ever stayed in even though it was an upgrade. Small and functional with a nice en suite and good toiletries (large dispensers). The room didn’t have a view but the bed was comfortable and the Nespresso machine was nice. We didn’t have breakfast and I’m glad because the queue was huge as we left around 9.30. The cocktail bar was nice although the staff seemed to be lacking in customer service. Overall a good stay and a hotel we will return to in the future.

Fantastic location with easy access to most attractions. The complimentary breakfast included with our reservation was very good with a lot of variety. The only negative is the coffee-it was very bland.

The hotel was in the ideal location had everything you needed on the doorstep. The staff were very helpful and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. The room was warm and comfortable though slightly dated compared to the foyer but was clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was lovely lots of choice. Would definitely stay again

We were very early to check-in and just wanted to leave our bags we were offered an early check-in if we accepted an upgrade at a price, we were under no time pressure so declined to upgrade but we were then immediately checked in and given our rooms, I didn't like that as it suggested the hotel were trying to get more money out of us, a little thing but left us feeling a little uncomfortable. Other than that although the room was very small it was OK, nothing special but OK.

I was attending an event which finished late, and I didn't want to travel home alone. So I looked for somewhere close by to stay which didn't break the bank. The Strand Palace Hotel offers single-bed rooms that come with a luxury shower room stocked with Rituals products, large wardrobe, table & chair, a desk and huge TV. Plus free wifi, bottle of water and bar of chocolate... and all for £110. Everything was spotlessly clean. The hotel room was quiet & comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again.

This is the second time I have stayed at The Strand Palace Hotel. I am a lone traveller and all the staff are friendly and welcoming. The room is very clean and the facilities in the room have been well thought out. The choices at breakfast are excellent. I will definitely be staying again and would highly recommend.

The whole place was clean and well maintained and staffed. He staff were very professional and courteous. Some even went the extra mile. I had a problem which I'm sure wouldn't bother everyone but I was given a new room and not made feel bad about it. The staff were excellent. It's situated in the perfect area, close to everything.
