Sofitel Mumbai BKC

It was our second stay at sofitel in last few years. This time, I had chance to split my stay between Sofitel and nearby competition. Sofitel stand outs better in the most. The staff is pleasant, and helping. Breakfast buffet is one of the best we had. Closely located to Jio World Center and variety of restaurants. Will definitely stay again.

Room, staff & Amenities were great. Location not so convenient. Food & alcohol prices were little too high unnecessarily. Because of exorbitantly high prices of food & alcohol, and inconvenient location I will reconsider my stay I elsewhere.

We stay at this place 5 days and it was very pleasant time .All staff members were polite,helpful an professional.Breakfast served with very high quality food and varieties.

Front desk: Viraj was amazing in helping my checkin experience feel very welcomed. Breakfast: Very friendly staff and especially Archana, Tanvi, Ayush? and the Dosa desk. Room service: efficient and pleasant. All in all a pleasant stay.

Very nice, relatively modern hotel with excellent staff. Good range of restaurants and bars. Breakfast was very good.

Checkin time reception was very helpfu, during breafast Mr Kalu and his chef has helped with Langos, very freindly and good staff including Mr Nilesh - bakery boss. Good dtay.

(1)Bathroom Drainage Issues: There was a serious problem with the bathroom drainage — both the shower area and the bathtub were not draining properly, causing the entire bathroom to flood. (2) Unhelpful Staff Conduct During a Medical Emergency: A more concerning issue was the attitude of the concierge staff. I had forgotten my phone charger and was told they could not send a charger wire to the room. I therefore left my phone at the concierge desk to charge, but it wasn’t charging due to a loose USB port in their drawer. When I requested permission to take the charger wire to my room for a short while — especially since I was checking out in a couple of hours and was dealing with a medical emergency — the staff refused outright. I found this extremely disappointing and insensitive. For a hotel of Sofitel’s standard, denying a ₹100 charging wire to a guest who has spent over ₹42,000 on the stay, particularly in a situation involving a medical urgency, reflects a complete lack of empathy and hospitality. To make matters worse, there were multiple wires available at the desk, yet they declined to help. Most premium hotels readily provide such basic assistance to guests. (3) Room Amenities Inconsistency: no coffee machine in our room although the adjacent room did have a coffee machine (4) On a more subjective note, I also found the hotel’s interiors and overall design to be rather unattractive. Checked in with Afreen who was nice but the check in took too long. The lobby looks very nice. Specifically the coffeshop downstairs our room was dark in colors. The room layout is weird and wasting space the same with bathroom.

Clean

Rooms are nice and give a feeling of luxury and comfort. However, the service can be better. We needed to call multiple times and eventually walk to the reception desk to get our room keys activated.

At check in we waited almost four hours. They do not allow early check in. There is no option to early check in. Once we checked in we took shower water is all over in bathroom and slipping tiles situated. We have to ultra conscious that we will not fell down. Inside restaurants are very very expensive that no one can afford this cost. Room rent is too high even though it’s not five star hotel. They are charging room rent because of US Consulate office is walkable. Airport Shuttle is not free. Charging Rs. 3000 that is ripped off. Food and Shuttle and rent are truly disappointed. I will never recommend to anyone to stay in this hotel.
