(1)Bathroom Drainage Issues: There was a serious problem with the bathroom drainage — both the shower area and the bathtub were not draining properly, causing the entire bathroom to flood. (2) Unhelpful Staff Conduct During a Medical Emergency: A more concerning issue was the attitude of the concierge staff. I had forgotten my phone charger and was told they could not send a charger wire to the room. I therefore left my phone at the concierge desk to charge, but it wasn’t charging due to a loose USB port in their drawer. When I requested permission to take the charger wire to my room for a short while — especially since I was checking out in a couple of hours and was dealing with a medical emergency — the staff refused outright. I found this extremely disappointing and insensitive. For a hotel of Sofitel’s standard, denying a ₹100 charging wire to a guest who has spent over ₹42,000 on the stay, particularly in a situation involving a medical urgency, reflects a complete lack of empathy and hospitality. To make matters worse, there were multiple wires available at the desk, yet they declined to help. Most premium hotels readily provide such basic assistance to guests. (3) Room Amenities Inconsistency: no coffee machine in our room although the adjacent room did have a coffee machine (4) On a more subjective note, I also found the hotel’s interiors and overall design to be rather unattractive. Checked in with Afreen who was nice but the check in took too long. The lobby looks very nice. Specifically the coffeshop downstairs our room was dark in colors. The room layout is weird and wasting space the same with bathroom.

Clean

Rooms are nice and give a feeling of luxury and comfort. However, the service can be better. We needed to call multiple times and eventually walk to the reception desk to get our room keys activated.

At check in we waited almost four hours. They do not allow early check in. There is no option to early check in. Once we checked in we took shower water is all over in bathroom and slipping tiles situated. We have to ultra conscious that we will not fell down. Inside restaurants are very very expensive that no one can afford this cost. Room rent is too high even though it’s not five star hotel. They are charging room rent because of US Consulate office is walkable. Airport Shuttle is not free. Charging Rs. 3000 that is ripped off. Food and Shuttle and rent are truly disappointed. I will never recommend to anyone to stay in this hotel.

Clean and modern. Great rooms.

This place although still good, has lost the splendor it had in the past. In my room, I dropped something and I happened to look under a piece of furniture to find it. The area seemed like it had not been cleaned in years. The menu does not have much variety, especially after hours. This shouldn't be the case with a hotel of this caliber.

Excellent hotel and wonderful staff. My stuff was great and I fell sick and the staff took such great care of me with doctors, medications and checking on me as well as sending some get well fruits. I would 100% stay here on my next trip to Mumbai. Also facilities like gym and sauna and pool are very nice.

As a tourist, the location was the only downfall being far away from the things I wanted to see. That being said the rest of my stay was near perfect. There aren’t enough words to describe the hospitality every staff member displayed. The room was large and very comfortable. Pillow top bed spread had me sinking into sublime sleep. The bathroom was also large and well appointed. The hotel pool was cool and refreshing and offered poolside drinks and food. If you have business in the area this is a great option.

This was my first stay at the Sofitel, chosen because of its close proximity to the JIO centre. The hotel was ideal for my purposes.
