I'm very satisfied staying here, the view and onsen experience are wonderful. Staff also very polite and helpful. Tips: arrive early and enjoy the garden view, then after check-in go submerge in the outdoor onsen in the sunset time

This was a splurge for our Japan trip. I haven’t seen all of them, but I would say this is probably the best Onsen out there. It sits at the top of the mountain. Great buffet dinner and breakfast. Staff is perfection. Service is perfection. Thank you for such a great time Hakone. Everyone needs to go here at least once in their life.

We had a wonderful stay at Ten-yu. Our family absolutely loved the experience, it was incredibly relaxing, and the grounds were immaculate and peaceful to walk through. The food was fantastic, with a great variety of thoughtfully prepared options that made every meal enjoyable. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable, providing the perfect place to unwind. Having a private onsen on the balcony was a highlight for our family. It allowed us to spend quality time together while relaxing in a serene setting. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Ten-yu to anyone looking for a peaceful, luxurious, and memorable stay.

Room was clean, and service was great. Of course the reason to stay in this resort is for the hot springs. My room had a private bath on the balcony. Filling it was simply pressing a button, which filled the tub with hot springs water in 15 minutes. It was perfect to soak in privacy. My package had dinner and breakfast buffets. Both had a good selection, including alcoholic beverages. Food did start running out at the end of the dinner buffet. If I return, I would probably look into other food options for dinner.

The service was excellent. The check in/out process was rather laborious. Many people are “parked” in the lounge until their turn is up. There was an afternoon ensemble in the lobby, while talented, was very loud- not something I would expect in a spa. The baths were wonderful and beautiful in the evening. Breakfast was varied, fresh and delicious.

Nous avons été bien accueilli avec des personnes souriantes. L'hotel est moderne, très propre, la chambre que nous avions était grande, très belle vue, avec tous les produits d'hygiène corporels. Les repas sous forme de buffet sont de très qualité et variés. Nous avons profité du jardin intérieur en soirée pour une balade en amoureux, parmi nos coups de coeur lors de notre voyage au Japon

Very nice hotel. Nice amenities and provided toiletries. Nice staff that can understand English. Free hotel shuttle to and from gora station. Nice 2 public onsens, one being in a garden while the other is an infinity pool. They also have some extra stuff like free ice cream and access to a neighboring building through a tunnel where you can use their water park and festival games. Would like to go here again with more people.

Overall the stay was good. Transportation around the area could have been a bit better. Didn’t have enough time to enjoy the amenities. Next time I would stay somewhere cheaper for an additional night.

Our second visit, this time we travel with my daughter’s family and grandson. This is a few Onsen hotel that allows children to use their public onsen. He enjoyed this new experience and all of us have a great time to enjoy the facilities and fine Japanese dinner. Since this is my second visit, our family was offer free lounge access and late checkout. Something we did not expect. So thank you!
