My stay was really bad cause a few days I didn't have water at all in the morning. In one day I had even brown water. Breakfast was very poor, no choice. This hotel is very old, they don't maintain the condition og the hotel. Only one was good is service.

Room provided different from photo shown. No heater, no wardrobe, only one socket at the aircon. Bed and cleanliness consider good though.

Good stay. People always come here for big function such as grand wedding. The breakfast food is so so. Must add nasi lemak as basic choice. Overall it is nice stay.

Neighbors make noise, singing at midnight but nobody takes action. Room air conditioner does not function well. Water pressure is low. Bathroom cock stains are terrible.

I mean, its worth with the price. The room has everything you need. I mean, the expensive hotel doesn't have wht you have. Its a compliment. I have a best stay at your hotel 😇.

Room 406. I asked for the air conditioner remote control. The housekeeper came and informed me that this room had no air conditioner remote control. He said, room 406 was not supposed to be opened for booking. So, why did you all still let me check in? Yes I was informed that this was the only room available upon my arrival. But I didn't know it was going to be this bad. Your toilet couldn't flush and was leaking to the max! Hair dryer was missing. Hello? And you've got the audacity to sell this room in the app for RM60? Luckily, this was only a 1 night stay. I won't ever check in to this hotel again. And hopefully, whoever is reading this too should avoid this hotel unless you've had a perfect life and need something to stress you out.

About

Back in 1969, Buli Sim-Sim Water Village was built by the government along the sea coast of Sandakan, Sabah. There were approximately 13000 villagers during that time, consisted of Malay ethnic and Chinese ethnic, which their houses were separated by a bridge. One side was for the Malay and the other was for the Chinese. Their houses were considered big and spacious even they were built on the water. And so, it was not a surprise knowing the children’s daily activity was swimming. Although there were rubbish or maybe the household waste disposal everywhere on the water, the children loved to swim and remained healthy. It seemed that these villagers had good and strong immune system.

Sim-Sim Village Seafood Restaurants

Since you are visiting to a famous fishermen village, it has become a must for you to try out their food here in any of these floating restaurants, Sim-Sim Village Seafood. What so famous here is the seafood that they serve is fresh and juicy. The most recommended dish is the wet butter prawn or the cheesy prawn. You don’t have to worry about the price, they provide every dish with a very reasonable price. Of course, the price is cheaper compared to the restaurants in the cities.

Additional Info

  • Other than becoming fishermen and fishmonger or fish seller as source of income, they also crafted souvenirs to be sold. They made pearl necklaces, sea shell key-chain, T-shirts and many more.

Four Point by Sheraton Sandakan

The most famous one is 4 stars hotel, Four Point by Sheraton Sandakan. The front desk is opened for 24 hours which means, you can check-in to the room at any time you arrive. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The most exciting one about this hotel is the swimming pool view which looks as it is continuous to the sea. I bet you will enjoy your stay here especially the swimming pool view.

Sabah Hotel Sandakan

Unbeatable to the former hotel, Sabah Hotel Sandakan, a four starts hotel, is also recommended for you guys. You can also check-in to the room at any time as you arrive, this hotel is surrounded by green garden yet it is located just beside the sea.
