Sandakan Airport is a domestic airport located in a town of Sandakan district in the state of Sabah. It is built 14 kilometres west of town centre Sandakan. Sandakan Airport serves only Firefly, AirAsia, Malaysia Airlines, Malaysia Airlines by MASWings. It is found that this airport has the capacity to handle 1.5 million passengers annually. Unlike its counterpart, the Kota Kinabalu International Airport, this airport does not serve any international flight.

However, the tourists need to be aware that the pick-up point is only in Sepilok Town. The Malaysian Resident entrance fees are Rm15 for adult and Rm5 for child. While, the non-resident entrance fees are Rm60 for adult and Rm30 for child.
